Lexus GS300 (great deals since the GS300 is being phased out ... but bad for resale)
Infiniti FX35 (05's can be had for a LOT off sticker)
Volvo S60R (pretty sick car .. have to go see it in person)

What's up Jim!
I hate to see you go bro.
I rarely post on this thread but your departure from the Z car warrants it!

I was looking at your list, it seems pretty eclectic. A few comments...

Acura TL - It's already a "me too" car. It drive's really well though like a more comfy and nimble Honda Accord. I like it, but once you get down to business you're quickly reminded it's a FWD.

IS350- I like the look of this car. The lines are clean yet aggressive. It grew on me quick. Have no idea how it performs, have yet to drive one.

Subaru Legacy GT - Definitely an awesome little sleeper. I hear alot of raves from the owners, but then again anyone who mod their cars can be a little biased. To me, they're exclusive and rare to see on the road. Nice looking neutral design.

Audi A4's - I've driven this quite a few times but only the B6 1.8t's . Very smooth ride, sort of tame though and a little heavy feeling. I'm guessing you'd probably go with the new 2.0's? Interiors are awesome though.

Good luck with the searching.
Hope to see you around Jim, you've helped my @ss out alot with random questions throughout these couple of years.

Tuan

Hooked on phonics worked for me ! yay

Altima SE-R ... no can do ... it's just not up to snuff feature wise as the others ... and ... the resale on it will be pure doo-doo butter .. sorry Rob ... it's not a good short term car...and that is what a car like that would be to me...just like this Z ... not enough luxury.

What are anyone's thoughts on the Acura RL?

If I wanted a fast car, I'd get an SRT-8

JDM and JIM don't care about each other. I want a nice riding, good looking, esy traveling, reliable, fun to dive automobile.

I like the IS ... I just don't like the price (due to the forced options).

On paper, it seems like such an awesome car.
However, the overall look is uber conservative and it's a little pricey considering:
Based from the past decade or so, Acura sedan designs don't age too well. They're too homologous to the rest of the Honda line-up.

Actually ... this is a good CD (at least I think) ... I got a copy of it from my buddy ... want a copy?

I rarely like emo, since, well ... I am only gay 10% of the time.

Nice to see this thread has come to life again . Jim, have you considered the new Mazdaspeed 6? As far as the IS goes, I see a few everday! Very common on the streets. Love the rear styling, front is ok. Performance and reliability a plus. Love Audi designs, but alittle weiry of reliability. Still not up tom par with Japanese cars, but I give them a big plus on looks! I actually considered the new A4 and IS.

Well.

I won't get the Mazdaspeed 6 or the SE-R because, to me, they put me into the same boat I am in with my Z. They are great driving, fast, affordable and cheaply interiored cars. I don't know what has changed with me ... but I want some luxury, some more safety and a less mod addicting car

Land Rover LR3 and Infiniti FX35 are on the plate for tonight .. I'll let you know how the test drives go.

What do you think about the Infiniti M35 or M45. Definately more luxury and less mod addicting.

For some reason .. the look has grown "off" me. I don't know how to say it. When it first came out, it was she $hit to me ... now it just looks kinda big and overly agressive. The interior w/ sport package was very nice though .. but $52k = not my idea of a bargain.
