Hmmmm.....I feel out of my element when people start talking about normal stuff.

Sounds like an interesting book......can I pick it up at Barnes & Noble?

ah yes...corky bell.

i have read that book cover to cover twice in college, and have refered to it many times too. i used to walk around with it every day. i used the principles in that book when i built my turbo kit, and my friend and i used it when we built the twin turbo golf vr6 for our senior project. it is an excellent book!! as far as i recall, there is supercharger stuff in there? no?

when i get the welder back up and running, you all will see what i am capable of. i used to always have a project of some sort going, but i am dying now without one.

I never would have guessed by looking at Chad that he's this brilliant engineer. Don't get me wrong Chad....it's just that you don't wear glasses and walk around all day in a polo shirt. Ah well, teaches me for stereotyping people!

Yeah this book is by far one of the best I have read yet on boost. I kind of expected to not understand half of what he was saying.
ME=ZERO COLLEGE. But its actually pretty good. He does tend to break things down pretty well. And the formulas are the best. I', really good with math especially Algebra and Calculus so when I didn't understand what he was saying I just looked at the math and it kinda gave me a better understanding. As a matter of fact I think I'm going to use his CFM formula to plot out the efficiency chart for the 60-1 Stage V turbo that comes with the Turbonetics kit.

rob,
i have done many flowrate calculations, and piping loss calculations for turbo systems in the past. i have spec'd out many turbos using the compressor maps, and can probably answer many questions if you want me to. please let me know if i can answer any questions, or help you with any calculations. i love to do that shiz. i would totally bring a calculator and some paper to the next meet if you want. i will live vicariously through your turbo experience.

get a printout of the compressor map for your turbo (exact trim and A/R) if you can. we can do some quick calculations, and see why they used the turbo that they did.

i have another turbo book that i will bring. it is nowhere as good as maximum boost, but it might be helpful in some way.
