I am back from a looooong week end.
I am ready for what were going to do next for the
Site
The items to discuss are:
Domain name - We know who has it. we need to point the DNS info to a server so we can FTP into the site.
I don’t think transferring ownership in necessary. That is up to the owner.
Hosting - Who, where, and how much? I am Offering Free web hosting from my company.
Design - Who, Where, and how much? We have a bunch of people in the club with the skills, Chris and Desi for one. I have decent chop skills. I have some access to professional designers and animators for some stuff. I could hire a professional from my job for dirt, we all chip in 20 bucks or something. I like the idea of the site created by the members. Maybe my team at work can give us a few unique Professional flash cartoons. Real cool **** !
Webmaster– Myself and probably Chris and Desi if they want to. I don’t want to volunteer people but these people have the skill set to update the site.
These are just suggestions. If anyone has an idea please make your suggestions.

Ok
Sent the DNS info to Scafremon.
If he can point to my servers I can get propagation started here and we can FTP into the Site
Once we have that going we are ready to discuss the design and who is gonna do what,

FTP Access to the site should be available tomorrow sometime if everything is set up right. I will double check with my Tech dept to make sure.
We should keep it simple for now to get the site up.
I see an up and coming events Calendar, an Event Picture archive, a member bio, and the look and feel of the site as a start.
I would like to put up as many past events as we can find up.
We will need to organize past event pictures.
Later on we can add anything we want. Looks like we have the talent on board.
If anyone wants to contribute their ideas just give’em.
Chris, Desi, and myself will be web mastering and managing the site. The 3 of us should meet up to figure out the details of the site.I should see Chris at Stillen day June 5th , maybe Desi will be there too.
Hopefully we will have something up in 30 days or less.
I will keep everyone posted

Thanks guys. I've got some skillz in various things (graphics, video, etc.) but i'm a master of none. My schedule permitting, i'm definitely game for anything we need.
Suggestions:
1. Member profile creation form. Let the members enter in the info, upload the pic, etc themselves rather than have the webmaster do data entry. (cardomain.com style?)
2. Our own private classifieds? Just for socalers and group members.
3. Membership is free, but requires that you create a full profile and sign a wavier (get legal mumbo jumbo out of the way in case we organize runs or track events)
4. Paypal account for donations, fund raisers, etc.
