Unhappy

On the last leg back home, I peeled off to hwy 371 to 79...and this is what I saw...this is how far north the fires got last year...burned all the hillsides right up to the road. All the dark/black colors you see are burnt trees, bushes, etc.

Glad everyone made it safely and that the other three cars did not get a ticket. Must have been a good day for the cop. So I wonder how the warning ticket is. Does the CHP keep a record of your license/plate and for how long?

Jon, glad to see another SB w/ Invidia.

Just want to thank everyone for a fun spirited drive from Hemet to Idyllwild. Dave thanks for the morning breakfast. That was Alfonso and his passenger Bernie spinning out on the turn going up the mountain. Good thing he was able to recover from it even though he was facing the opposite direction after the spin. That was funny that he got his own spinout on video it sounded really bad on the audio. You guys just disappeared from my rear view and I was thinking oh god I hope nobody got into an accident. All's well that ends well I guess I'm just glad that everyone made it through. I will post some pics later I'm still watching the Lakers game right now.

That was a great run! I am truly glad everyone came out okay and no one was hurt! Yeah, the spin out by one of the members was unfortunate but that was a great save!! No damage to the car at all!

Dave,
Thank you so much for your hospitality and hosting breakfast. That was so nice of you!!!

Brian,
The run was awesome! Thanks for leading the pack to Idyllwild! And I agree… that was some nice cop letting us off with just a warning. I was so sure he was going to give me at least a fix-it ticket for my tail light overlays… but he was nice. He kept “caressing” my burnt orange leather seat (passenger side)!!

Jon,
It was great hitting Idyllwild again! That was a fun drive going home too… despite those 3 slow moving RV’s! Wasn’t that fun passing those cars!?

Dan,
Don’t worry, we will most likely do this again. Got new tires yet?

Manny and Tom,
Hope you guys can make it the next time.

I'm sorry for missing this one, and glad that you all had a safe and fun day. I should have my car back by Tuesday, in time for my long awaited vacation.
Did the cop actually get you on radar? If so, it is truly amazing that he let you go. This would be the first miracle of this type, I know of.
We got to plan another run after the summer –summer is though on the cars in that area- and this time I will be there.

When I hit the brakes I was going 72 which was still too fast but he must have gotten us as he was peaking the top of that hill in front of us. Anyway, we were very, very lucky!

I looked at my speedo when my V1 started blippin... and well... no more self-incriminating evidences shall be given.

Anyway, I think this is gotta be my favorite place to run now. It's so much fun!!!

Since there are so many ppls that missed out on this run, we should do this run one more time pretty soon or at the latest b4 the summer is over.... maybe August or September when it's really hot so we get even more bug meteor shower.
