Hey folks just bought my ticket today. It said that the tickets would be sent out to the contact person only. Does that mean us Nor Cals are gonna have to meet up with Zuprcar somewhere to get whatever we need to get in?

Nope I will mail tickets to you ahead of time, unless you prefer to receive them some other way.

Yeah Sho-Time, that was me. Still only had 1000 miles on it at the time. The good old days when you didn't see hardly any Z's on the road :P.

People, remember, you might want to bring some folding chairs. Some small hibachis would be cool if we wanted to bring some dogs, burgers or korean bbq for lunch time. Small coolers for drinks are a good idea as well. A boom box or two would work well.

It will probably be chilly so bring some warm clothes. Blankets aren't a bad idea. Please post your suggestions.

Exclamation Changes re VIP Fan Lap and Parking

I have the weekend passes in my hand. I am now just waiting for the parking passes to arrive.

For those that purchased PASSENGER tickets ONLINE or OVER THE PHONE, you will be getting those directly from JGTC. Scott and Al, you'll be getting yours from me.

All car club parking is now moved from being up front outside the track (the thin light yellow strips that say 08), to being in the infield. This means we are right in the middle of all the action. The lot will be open from 6:00 a.m. and you will be free to drive in and out as you please.

I talked to JGTC re the Fan Lap situation. It turns out that since they are only allowed 250 cars due to insurance purposes, the first 250 cars that registered for the Car Clubs (which is 5 clubs) were given priority. All spots were taken (NSXPrime makes up about 100 of the spots). We were club #7.

Because 3FiveZeroZ will not be able to participate in the Fan Lap, they will be giving everyone FREE VIP Grand Stand passes upon your arrival into the VIP parking lot. The VIP Grand Stand was specially built for prime viewing of the drifting events and can only accommodate 6,000 people. VIP Grand Stand passes are normally $10 each day. I don't know whether they are giving out passes for both days or just one, but the main drift event is on Sunday.

The free pass is good enough for me.....I think rolling in a car at 15mph for over an hour would begin to frustrate me after a while. It reminds of a super long 20 minute bumper-to-bumper ride I once took at Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney....I wanted to jump off the boat after 5 minutes.
