Default HELP!?! - OC/LA Smog Station to pass my GReddy TT'd G35 Coupe

Hey Guys,

I need some help here... I most likely will be selling my TT G35/Skyline, and I wanted to know if anyone knows of any Smog Center/Station that will pass my G (for some extra $$, of course). I'd prefer a location in Orance County, but I wouldn't mind driving to LA for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks

Mark

this is totally off subject, but if you decide to part your car out make sure and post the items up for sale here or g35driver. Your G is so awesome, you've put alot of hard work into it!!

You don't have to smog a new car for like 7 years? So I don't think you have to worry...or am I worng?

You hvae 4 year until your first smog. the best you can do legally is by new cats just before the test. Or strip in down to stock and then reinstall.

Yup, when selling you have to show proof that it passed a smog test... I don't want to pay any money to have my engine/exhaust taken off, I'd rather pay to have my car pass smog.

Hey Shaun, where in RSM do you live? I live in Ladera, off of Antonio and Crown Valley....

Later...

I know, I know... it hurts me more than it hurs you...(I think.... heheh)

I almost don't have a choice, unless a miracle happens. My ex-wife is forcing me into a corner, so I need the money to retain an attorney to represent me... I wouldn't normally flinch at her threats, but when they concern my kids and custody of them, then I take it very seriously...

Anyway, believe me, I am trying to find different ways to get out of selling my car...hopefully something will pop up soon....

Thanks for the support, I appreciate it....

I have a 1975 280z that I had to park because of smog. I was hooked up for years until they got stricter by labeling cars to go to the special test centers.

I don't think anyone will risk losing there license for a couple of hundered dollars. It was near impossible in my case because my car was designated to go to a smog test center only.

Best of luck to you....probably will have to put it back to stock before you smog it.

The end of my Saga is when my car reached 29 years old and the lady at the DMV gave me my tags and said "your car is exempt"

There's gotta be a fairly simple solution. I mean what about all the Silvia guys with their SR20DET swaps? I seriously doubt that all those guys put their stock motors back in before being tested. I would try a forum where engine swaps are common. You could also try attending a drifting event (practically all those guys are running illegal JDM motors) but don't come across like a cop when you ask around...

Good luck.

So I guess that means anybody in California that has a Turbo'd or supercharged G35 should not speak about it since they're all illegal in CA (except for Stillen SC at this time)....

Geez people, c'mon... I'm not expecting a reply out in the open... PM me or correspond with me via cell phone.....

Nobody is volunteering??? Hmmm... why would one ASSUME that??

And for those of you who have responded... thank you for your help with this - I truly appreciate it.....
