2005 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast

Pikes Peak White

6spd manual

Clean title in my possession, no accidents.

68,421 miles. Will go up slightly (but not much) as I drive it occasionally.

I’ve owned it since June of 2008. Always garage kept. New battery in June. New driver side window motor in August.

I’ll try to be as detailed and upfront as possible so there isn’t any confusion on the condition of the vehicle. My goal with the car was to be capable on autocross and road course, but still nice on the street. It’s in perfect mechanical shape and is a blast to drive. I just don’t drive it much anymore and haven’t raced in a very long time. Full disclosure – the first owner had nitrous setup for a short time. He told me he installed it and used it during tuning, but then removed it and sold me the car to buy a Corvette. Even with nitrous he wasn’t going to reach his power goals. I’ve put 29k miles on it over 10 years and it’s in perfect shape. No ill effects from the nitrous.

It has a hidden hitch to pull an autocross type small trailer. I pulled one from DFW to San Marcos and back without any problems.. I forgot to get a pic, but will update with one soon.

Interior is a 9 out of 10 with only a few nicks here and there. Overall very clean interior. Stock radio and nothing really altered interior wise.

Exterior is maybe 8 out 10. I had some of the car repainted earlier this year. Not because of any damage, but nasty rock chips and such on the front end. The only flaws in the paint are the side skirts and a couple of tiny spots on the rear bumper. I didn’t have those painted as they aren’t an eyesore and I planned on changing the skirts later on, but now it’s time to sell. The car looks great really.

Engine oil and brake fluid changed regularly. I used to do a handful of autocross and road course events each year and would change both twice a year. New fluid in transmission (Redline) and differential (Carbonetic LSD oil) within last 2,500 miles.

Exterior modifications:

Veilside (authentic) front lip. This is a carbon fiber lip, but I bought it used with a little damage to the gel coating and one layer of the CF. I had it on the car that way forever, but had it repaired and painted in the Nismo grey when the front end was painted.

Clear lens markers in the front bumper

2006+ LED tail lights (OEM)

I added hood struts to lift the hood without using the prop rod. I drilled and tapped into the the factory tab that was intended for them, but never used by Nissan. Looks OEM and lifts the hood higher than the prop rod. I did not remove the prop rod though.

Engine/power mods:

K&N drop-in air filter

Motordyne 5/16” plenum spacer

Ultimate Racing high-flow cats

Nismo cat-back

UpRev tune done at UpRev in Austin on their dyno.

Drivetrain upgrades:

Z1 Performance Street Clutch and flywheel combo with standard full face friction disc and lightweight flywheel. The car previously had a Spec super twin disc clutch with lightweight flywheel and this Z1 setup grabs just as well and drives beautifully.

Carbonetic 1.5way limited slip differential. Perfect driveability and performace.

Suspension:

Eibach Sportline springs - 1.5in drop all around

Koni Yellow adjustable sport shocks

Whiteline urethane bushings in a few spots: front shock absorber to control arm bushings, control arm lower front inner bushings, differential mount bushings.

SPL FKS front compression rod bushings (aluminum). These make a little chatter noise, but it’s normal for them and they’ve been that way the whole time. They are the version 1.

Wheels/Tires – two sets:

Enkei RPF1 in matte bronze. 18x9.5 +15 front, 18X10.5 +15 rear. The front driver has two minor bends from lovely Dallas potholes. I never replaced it because it never loses air and isn’t a crack or anything. One or two wheels have some of the paint scraped off on the lip. Doesn’t look horrible, but not brand new either.

Hankook Ventus R-S3 tires. 265/35/18 front, 285/35/18 rear. These have been on for a while. Not many miles on them, but some age. I’d be comfortable doing a fun track day, but they wouldn’t be real competitive at autocross probably. Fine on the street for a while though.

Rota P-45R in flat black. They call it that, but they’re really a satin black. 18x9.5 +20 all around.

Nitto Invo tires. 275/35/18 front, 275/40/18 rear. The rears are pretty worn as they were a full time street set before.

ARP extended wheels studs. Muteki SR48 open end lug nuts in black.

Brakes:

Brakes have been upgraded to the OEM Brembo calipers (that came on other trim packages) with Stoptech slotted rotors (have been resurfaced once). I currently have cheap BrakeBest pads from O'Reilly on for the street and actually prefer them over the Stoptech and EBC pads I ran previously.

In a couple photos the driver seat looks discolored, but I guess it’s just my camera and the lighting because it is not. It’s fine and looks as good as the passenger seat.

As I said before this Z is a blast to drive. Please only contact me if you’re serious about buying. It would be a great daily driver, track car, or you could use it for both as I did. If you want it, but have concerns about a loan on a 13yr old vehicle I would suggest getting a loan through LightStream. I financed a 2005 Jeep earlier this year through them and I won’t buy a used vehicle any other way now.

I work a busy schedule, but can usually respond to questions all day. Thanks for reading.
