Default Longhorns National Champs!

Just wanted to say how proud I am to be a student at UT!

I hope those sports announcers sleep well tonight. I was funny watching them talk about how good texas was even after they talked SO much sh|t about them in the weeks leading up to the game.

Some people are just afraid to think the "pretty boy" team can lose a game.

HOOK 'EM HORNS!

Those people "upstairs" should be shot dead. How dare they make the worse call in NCAA football history. Everybody (including UT fans) knows that Young's knee was down when he pitched the ball for that TD. I like both teams but UT does not deserve the crystal ball. USC should have won by 3 points. It's sad that some a group of idiots (upstairs) can have such huge impact on such of big time game.

It's not as if they overturned the call, (which they should have done), that it would have ensured USC would have won. Get over it! Texas had so much going for them on that drive. If anything, Vince got the first down within the 10 yard line. Don't you think Texas would have scored anyways?

That was the best game in bowl history....no matter what. As for the knee and the touchdown-it doesn't matter. USC has not been able to close out opponents all season and last night they let the wrong team hang around. when your up by 12 you have to get it done and they didn't. TEXAS wanted it more and they showed it. USC had no answer for anything Vince Young did. 267 yds passing and another 200 on the ground, don't take credit away from Texas. The better team won the game BOTTOM LINE. Hook Em Horns

Maybe maybe not, texas was doing lots of fumble's, So you never know if they would of scored. That call was BS

To be fair, Texas had an interception that was taken away from them. It's not just USC that had calls go unchallenged.

I love it! All of the USC fans are crying about the ref's call. Like USC hasn't had a couple of calls go their way this season.

Bottom line is USC either did not play up to their potiential OR they did and they are just not the #1 team. They had a 12 point lead and choked. After all, Texas really only had one effective play and that was Vince running with the ball. It is sad that the Heisman winner gained 95 yards in the game and the Texas QB rushed for 200 yards.

I hate those kind of games when you have a pro like team play a bush league team, what is with all that running by the QB is like watching little league tikes steal base after base where is the flair, where are the passes? After watching a game like that, at least a half before I went to play GT4, I realize why I prefer to watch pro games not college.

im sorry, i dont follow what you're saying here. are you implying that USC is a pro-like team and UT is a bush-league team?

ok, so if this is true, then the Bush League team beat the Pro team? gee, i ddint know a QB run was such a hard to stop play. I figured stopping Reggie Bush would be hard, after all he is the Heisman Winner.....oops, we did stop Reggie Bush!!!

and FYI Young was 30 for 40 on passing for the night. In fact, I think VY could have taken on the entire USC team by himself. Hell, his stats alone almost beat USC combined!

gg....now go back to your forums and stop trolling here

You have to have a running game , so the passing game works and vise versa . He had 240 yards passing and 200 running . It was a well coached and well played game by Texas... I dont bother watching the pro's because its just a big show and not a game any more

I meant pro style vs bush league, there is nothing more boring than watching the QB sit back and wait for all of the players to be down field and then take off running, like I said it is like watching 6 year olds play t-ball once they get on first they just keep stealing bases until they are home becuase no one knows what is going on.

That style of game is just boring to watch, and there is a reason why it is not in the NFL that much or why it doesn't succeed, just look at Vick he gets a lot of action but when the opposing team is fast he has no chance, if UT had played a better faster defense they would have had a harder time of it.

To me the running game is done by the RUNNING BACKS not the QB alone, lame gameplan they just lucked out the USC defense sucked.

vince young is a god! It was like he had more rushing yards than USC's team.
When they tryed to sack him, he was still standing and still had time to throw the ball. Great game...I love both teams but UT is still home

Mike Vick also isn't 6'5" 235 lbs. u don't like football if you didnt like what you saw in that game. Was it boring to watch b/c he's a QB or b/c your team lost.(can we say bitter) That was great football from both teams. Lienertt turned it on in the 3rd and White is a beast. Young simply put his team on his back and did exactly what a leader and playmaker is suppose to do. RUNNING and PASSING!!!!
