my brakes on my 04 track are starting to squeak. where do you guys recommend for me to get a brake job? i'm thinking about the dealership but it probably is pricey. what is the price at the dealership?? Also i don't know if all my pads need to be replaced or just the front or back. Plus i have brembos so i assume these may cost more. help me out guys, thanks

You will just need pads. You shouldn't have your rotors turned, so the brake service shouldn't cost much. Keep the rotors as thick as possible until they're worn enough to replace them.

I recommend buying the Hawk HPS. They're low dust and wear great. You can find them at tirerack.com, but alot of places sell them. You can install the pads yourself--it's pretty easy. If you're not sure about installing the pads, just about any car service place can install pads.

Be sure your pads are worn first. Perhaps they are just squealing in which case bedding them in will take care of things. Do a search for this as well as changing your pads yourself. It's a pretty easy process for both Brembo and non-brembo setups.

Upgrade on the pads is recommended ---Fact is Napas top of the line pads work well--Low dust and good feel- A lite turn on the rotors I recommend because it breaks the Glaze and makes for a nice "mate" with the new pads. This is definetly a do it yr self job. Just make sure the place that turns ur rotors has a good rep. Also ---Napa sells a anti sqeek spray that is applyed to the caliper side of the pads. Everthing should be round a 100 bucks and take 2 hours --what with runnin here and there. Also --The caliper pistons need to be compressed- I use the old brake pad in place and a strategically placed C-Clamp to compress the pistons all the way in. Dont forget to gentlly pump the brakes when ur done to bring them back up, then for laughs loosen each bleeder on the Calipers to release any air. Tap each caliper as u do that to coax any air out. Gravity bleed is fine. Nother words just let nature do its thing. No need to pump the brakes. Go for it ---Its not Rocket Science.

Partsamerica.com (Advance Auto Parts Website) has Satisfied Pro Ceramic Pads on sale for Half off with Free Shipping. I paid $87 for pads for all 4 wheels.

You can change them yourself in about an hour, Nothing to them at all, just follow the instructions.
