Default Who Bought my car? San Antonio

Wondering if the person who bought my 2003 pikes peak 350z from Gunn Initiniti has found their way here. License Plate MODFYD

I have all my receipts for the car, if you want them. I also have some stock parts in my garage...

Got myself a 2003 Corvette Z06 instead... first visit to the track, ran a 12.7 @ 115mph, so I'm hapy with the trade

Me me me, I got your car. Picked it up on the 31st of December. I'd love to get a list of what you put into this. I started a thread on it in the new owners forum.

I shoulda went to Michelle at Gunn, I didn't realize she put the car online. It wasn't even on the lot when I put the deposit down on her... Great car though, anything I should know?

Congrats guys. You should join us Z guys at Top Notch Friday evenings around 10pm off Isom Road. We met there last night and had some nice talks.

Thank you very much, that saves me a whole lotta identification of parts. This is my first Z, so its hard to say what is stock and what isn't. They were in love with it at the dealership, just saw them today and they commented again.

I said Michelle, I meant Nicole though, she was very nice. I'm trying to go through your posts to see what you had done to it and what you pulled off before "I stole it." I really don't think they know what they had though, they could only tell me G35 rims and an intake, along with the stereo. How much did they give you for it if you don't mind me asking? I wouldn't be offended if yo said no. When did you drop it off?

I think i got $21.5, and I left it there on December 6th I think.

There is nothing wrong with the car, it runs and handles GREAT. I just wanted something faster, and with the 7k or so I dropped into that car, the vette is all that and then some for less $$$.

I do miss the subs though. Hope you enjoy it.

It is a great car, My wife used to love it, but now she's jealous that I spend so much time with it...

Speaking of subs, I have a brand new, 15" MB Quart in a sealed QLogic. It was in the Eclipse for about a month before I sold it, and I don't need it in the Z with the 10's already in there. I don't know if you could fit it in the Z06 though...

Can you give me some driving impressions of the Z06? I think I'm picking up an '03 in about 2 weeks.

Its a beast compared to the 350z, actually scared me the first time I had traction control off and went 0-60 romping on it.

Its quieter, smoother, and better highway mileage. It doesn't have the fit/finish of a japanese car, but hit the gas, and that don't matter.

I spent a lot on my 350, and this out runs it in handling and speed without even trying. Plus, it looks BAD *** Read up on it, right out of the box, it compares with tubo porsches, ferrari, and lambo's on performance.

Ruben,

I still can't believe you traded that beautiful Z of yours with all those parts on it. Lucky for nrlatsha!

I am definitely coming after you. I am gonna make you wish you would have never gotten rid of the Z!!

I don't like Z06's anyways. They are too fast, better looking, and handle like they are glued to the ground. Who the hell would want that over a Z?

Drive a Z with TT and you'll know what scared is all about. At least the Vette gets some traction in 1st/2nd :-)

My brother had both a 1999 and 2000 FRC's. As for the suspension, they are easy to work on. I agree on the fit/finish...just not the same. Plus the interior is weak. But the aerodynamics are awesome.

I like the Vette, especially the C5 FRC's and C6's, but it's just not the car for me.

Congrats to the new owner of the Z and the new owner of the Vette, both great cars and it looks like you're both great people as well.

Thanks!

I'm just glad to see his car went to someone on the board. I always really liked the look of it.
