I think everyone will agree that where I live, Katy (West Houston), is probably the most crime free.

SW houston has the MOST crime rate...between 59/bissonett to hillcroft.

Go as far away as possible from Houston if you want lower crime rate ,lol

Woodlands is a nice place
Also down south in Sugarland is nice too...

You plannin on moving here?

yah..planning to move to TX to open some small business along Bellaire Blvd. Sugarland is also in my list. Katy is a bit far away and just don't want to deal with traffic issue.

Any far suburb of Houston will have lower crime than Houston itself. Rule of thumb, the closer you get to the Metropolitan area the worse it will get. I've lived in Houston all my life and can say that it is constant struggle between those that continue to infect our city with filth and crime, with those that seek to preserve a decent way of life.

Actually, I think from Katy to Bellaire is less distance than from SugarLand to Bellaire. SugarLand and Katy are both huge so I guess it depends on which part you are looking into. If you don't want to deal with the traffic, don't move to Houston. You are not getting around it. No matter where you live, you will be in traffic. I personally think SugarLand is on a decline. Way too many parts of it are becoming ghetto. There are still nice parts of it but you have to move so far out that you may as well be in Rosenberg. Also, SugarLand is old. The houses are old. Everything out there is old unless you go out far again. Katy has an old part as well, the very beginning of it but Katy is mostly new.

the part that has the least amount of crime is the part that has the least amount of people from new orleans in it. unfortunately, those areas are becoming harder and harder to find. murders in houston are up 30% since katrina

Move to the Heights (77008). I've had no problems and it's waaay inside the the 610 loop. But, I try to live/park smart. Has been getting pricy lately.

here's the real deal. South west and south east houston are both bad. Especially Alief because that's where I live and that's where my prelude got stolen right outside of my apartment. Point being if your looking for low crime rate, Move to Katy because it's mostly high class rich people or you could move to Sugar land. Stay out of Alief though lol, unless your from the dirty south that is...

Stay out of Houston. That's the only way about it.
