Default Houston - I need a new job.. anyone??

I'm looking for a new SA job, I currently work for JPMC but the long weeks and hours 60-72 avg are really starting to dwell on me. It's not that the hours are long it's just we end up waiting around doing nothing while others are getting their part done.

So I end up on a tech bridge at 6 a.m., have to wait till 9 a.m. to start my part cause others aren't prepared. Then I'm done in 15 minutes, and have to wait till 1:00 or so to do my final part. So I hang around 6/7 hours to do 30 minutes of work and waste my entire day.

I need a new environment and job, hopefully a smaller one with less chiefs and some organization. I was shocked to find out how disorganized the financial industry is.

you should be happy that you get paid for 6-7 hours of work and only do about 30 minutes of actual work...

i'd trade you jobs anyday, provided pay is atleast the same...

i usually end up working in the heat of the day for consecutive 7 hours, with a breather every so often, and then get criticized on every little detail of my decisions... good or bad...

when my job is actually suppose to be to WATCH the employees and verify that everything is correct as opposed to doing everything myself... while they watch me...

i would love to train these guys but, when you just dont "get it" you're simply just not GOING to get it... but there are some good people... just too few...

First of all ---getting paid or not, I couldnt sit on my a$$ all day accomplishing 30 minutes work ---Texas is terrible when it comes to organized management and Iv spent time in every state managing something. I feel for u silvr. But the farther South u go the worst it will be and the lower the pay scale. If u want aggression and progressivness and dedication u will have to travel North. I know I;ll get bashed but Im speaking as a generalization. The ratio of dedication to " dont give a sh*t" decreases as u go North and just turns into one long siesta as u go South

lol... i understand what you guys mean... i'm more the type to just get everything i need to get done and be ahead of schedule... chill the rest of the day... especially if i'm on salary... i'll be more than happy to get my **** done and book out... call me if you have any problems and i'll be back...

the only reason i say that is... right now... i'm supervising my operation... everything is running perfectly smooth... i have 14,000 Kilos of freight to Export that hasn't shown yet... but then again 14K is nothing... we book up to 100K...

so what am i doing... F***ing around typing on the computer... and you know what? I'm enjoying the hell out of it... cause tomorrow... i'm gonna be sweating my a$$ off working 8 hours with no lunch and getting paid the same as i am right now... so in my humble opinion...F-IT...
