Default Best PHO in Houston if anyone cares.

Incase anyone is looking for decent pho, hit the Pho Saigon on 529 between Hwy 6 and Barker Cypress. It is across the street from the Target and Food Town. I have had a lot of pho but this place is really good. Feel free to comment or leave your own suggestions. There should be a sticky of things like this that we find in town so that we can share this info.

I'm biased but there's a couple of places where I think are pretty good.

It's Pho Nguyen on Beechnut and Wilcrest. They close real early though, like at 6 I think. Pho Danh (pronounced Zanh) in Hong Kong City Mall next to Ocean's Palace. Both places are in the Chinatown area.

If you like chicken pho (pho ga), I would say Van Loc in Downtown on Milam.

There have been occasions when I was glad I didn't know $hit. Don't know if this is one.

The white boy in me sometimes worries about Vietnamese food. In my mind, I know it's "O.K.", but in my gut..... I don't reely know what that stuff is or where it came from.

Prolly just my problem.

Haha, fair enough. It's just soup. It's beef broth with rice noodle and meat that you choose. Read this thread below. It has pics and lots of descriptions.

I forget the name but that Pho place (building is pink) on bellaire, its a block down from HK4 and on the right if your coming from beltway8. Gotta find it though, there's a small white building in front of it. And if I do recall, they're closed on wednesdays.

One of the foods I like at tan tan is (Bum bah chen). It's like fried taro. They are known for this dish. Other than that, food is ok there. The owner drives a "Gangster GT2".
