Default my sluggish z, please help

Hello all I just left the ASAA Racing. They let me test drive my Z since ill be picking it up Friday. During the test drive I was highly disappointed.
I had These bolt ons installed, JWT flywheel, Act Clutch Disc, Act Pressure Plate, Top Speed Y Pipe, Top Speed Exhaust, Top Speed Headers, MD 5/16 spacer. I installed myself the UD Pulley, Pop charger and Varis Air Duct.

My car felt extremely sluggish. My car did not rev up any quicker then it did stock. The car from first, second to third felt as if I was waiting on some sort of boost. The car was extremely sluggish and on top of that all of my lights were on like my engine light, my VDC, and all the rest. The guy at the suggested my timing may be off due to my lightened flywheel. He did admit the car was sluggish and He was going to call Jim Wolf tomorrow. I never had timing problems stock and I never read anything in this form stating that the timing would be affected.

I was expecting my car to loose some torque but I have a 03 performance so I have tourqe to spare. The exhaust sound great but there is no since in having a loud a$$ exhaust and the car is slow as sh it. Has anyone else herd of this happening. I know it needs to be tuned but damm..I never expected this. I was expecting to put down at least 260 unturned and 270ish tuned. Literally the car sound bad *** but I would not pull up on a civic the way the car is now. Please someone give me some advice

the Check Engine Light is your first clue. I'd have the shop pull any codes since its displaying. Let the car's ECU help you... if u know what i mean.

sounds like they may have forgot to plug a vacuum line back or screwed up something when installing your spacer.

when you have a check engine light come on, the car runs in "safe mode". Get the CEL figured out and your problem will be solved.

As for your car being sluggish, that is typical with the breathing mods you have done. The check engine light can be from any of the above mods not installed properly. As for your car being a performance model, as fas as I know the car is still 287hp and the same torque as any other 03 Z. Your difference is suspension & wheels and interior. I've done some breathing mods myself and I feel slightly in the same boat as you. The only difference I have is the nitrous. I done a lot of research on this dilema and a tune is going to be your way out. You have 2 options, UTEC/Emanage or get a reflash. Once you complete this, your car will accept all the mods.

WHO installed those? lol

+1 on all of the above. My money is on improper install of the spacer, resulting in CEL. That will kill the performance. With the mods you have, the car should not feel any more sluggish and you should not have lost any real torque.

OR... don't you have an e-manage blue? Did you ever get that installed? If it is, then that could be part of the problem; you need to re-tune. If not, it's improper spacer install. Get it fixed, reset the ECU and you should be good. Get the e-manage in and a tune and it'll be even better. Don't freak; this should be a simple fix.

You should have just called me up and brought it down for me to check it out.

If it is a Timing issue, the only thing I can think of that can throw it off would be the Pulley, not the JWT flywheel. I have the JWT clutch and flywheel, and it doesn't feel sluggish to me.

Pulley does not affect timing. The pulley has been on his car for months.

We are making this out to be more than it is. Just tune it with your Emanage and run it on a dyno to check your a/f ratio. That's all you need to feel the difference.

i hope you guys are right. ASAA is looking into the problem and they said that they are pulling the engine code to see what the problem is. I hope its just the A/F ratio or improper install or something simple but the bottom line is that the car sound great but runs ****ty. No quick accleration what so ever. I hope it gets fixed when i get the car tuned next weekend but i did read that it coud be improper alinement of the flywheel which can thow codes. i read that in a searh last night but we will see
