As for the lotto, yeah, its a regressive tax which a lot of people dont understand but at the same time it can be a lot of fun. Its a rush to think that anyone could win that amount of money. Yes, some people go overboard and think this will solve all their problems...... I myself spend 16 bucks a month playing the lotto and as you can see that doesnt break the bank.

 

it pisses me off when I have somewhere to be and want to run in real fast to the gas station for a mt. dew. inevitably, I'll be in line for 10 minutes because some idiot can't decide on numbers and which scratch offs to buy. i maintain there should be special lottery ticket counters.

even worse are the people that seem like they're spending the last bit of their welfare check on tickets. i know there's a chance, but give me a break.

 

Did you ever hear about that guy that spent the last dollar, of his last unemployment check, on a lottery ticket......and won 6 million.

i don't have a problem with people buying tickets if they can afford it. i've just seen all too often people who can't make their car or mortgage payment, but somehow buy lottery tickets each week. i'm sorry, but that's not the brightest person out there.

OK so I checked the site (we play MEGAMILLIONS in WA too) and they said that the 2 winning tickets were sold. So does this mean that the two individuals have to split the 370 evenly? If so this is not the biggest jackpot won by an individual. I am not exactly THAT jealous.

Well I never said I played it. I don't play the lotto or megamillions, but you just have to wonder whether you COULD have won had you did. You never know!

 

I could see a spare dollar or two, but I have gone to gas stations and seen obvious low income people send $50 if not more on various tickets, and then $30 on there cigs and beer. I know they cant make but $250 a week, thats a hell of lot of money for a slim miracle. They got a car that doesnt run and 5 kids hopping the back seat that should come first. Pisses me off to see my tax money going to them.

Another thing when you give poor people millions of dollars, they waste it quickly, rack up debts and turn out worse then before, ever seen some of the documentaries about this-sad
