I respect your opinions LOL. No one remembers who came in 2nd or 3rd. Those with the rings are the ones who are remembered. That's why the games are played- to determine who is the best team. The Mavs had a 7 game series to show they were the best. So they had 4 bad games? If they were the best they would find a way to win. Tigers better than the Cardinals? Again, 7 game series. Tigers had plenty of chances to show they were the best team. Cardinals spanked the Tigers.
The Suns have had a great team the last few years. But the Spurs have always owned them in the playoffs. Suns have never won a championship. No trash talking intended here. We'll see, maybe this is the year they finally get past the Spurs.
I'm with you guys, don't want to beat a dead horse here so I'm done with this topic. LOL you guys are all cool. Let's have a good time and enjoy the NBA playoffs
I'm out- going to finish watching game 2 of the Spurs/Suns series.......

Enough of the playful banter...If you were the mavs which trade would you make to put this team over the edge.
I like the Jason Terry and Greg Buckner to Utah for Andre Kirilinko(spelling)
The Jazz want to dump AK and they could use a better 2 guard and buck gives them the defense at the point that they want.
It gives Dallas a post player and a good one and it takes a load off dirk.
That is my number one trade and if that doesnt go through would you if you were the mavs trade dirk for kg straight up.

2 big problems the Mavs had, Golden State was the best team to take the problems and use them to their advantage.
1. no low post scoring, the Mavs couldnt make Golden State pay for playing small.
2. small guards, Mavs small guards couldnt defend the bigger stronger Golden State guards.
here is what the Mavs need to do.
1. Jason Terry for Ray Allen trade, they need a true 2 guard who can shoot
2. Commit to Devin Harris as your point guard. Just like San Antonio did with Parker, just throw him to the wolves and kick him around until he finally learns. Worked with Parker and worked with Nash. They both sucked at first and learned the hard way.
3. Trade J-Ho for Jermaine O'neal. I love Josh but small fowards are easy to come by, O'neal can play center in the current league where Big centers do not dominate like the in past.
4. Pick up Brevin Knight as a backup who can show Devin how to distribute
5. Cut Buckner or trade him as fodder
6. develop atheletes, Mavs need more atheletes and they have a few riding the bench in Mo Ager and Pops Mensu Bonsu.
I need to be the Mavs GM!

I would have a hard time trading jho but for oneal that would work definately. Also, if you could get allen for terry thats a no brainer but the sonics would want jho and harris with that deal as well. If it would work straight up that would be great.

I'm root'n for the Spurs. But I'm not going to hope that anyone on either team get's injured. LOL
This series is far from over. We'll see what happens.

After watching the MVP Award acceptance press conference, I have to admit that I go away with a healthier respect for the Mavs. Dirk seems like a really cool guy. I am just glad they are out because they would have probably beat my Spurs this year. We are having a tough enough time with the Suns!

Ya Dirk is a pretty cool cat and he deserved the MVP. But I'm glad the Mavs are out too.
The Spurs/Suns series is exactly what I expected. Physical Ball down to the last seconds of the game. Although I was surprised Horry took out Nash like he did. WOW. Horry will probably be out for game 5 and possibly Staudemire and Diaw as well for rushing off the bench. We'll see how the commish handles it. I look for another tough game Wed night.
