Just picked up an 07 350z 6spd and mods seem to be not available everywhere I look. Only thing Ive done so far is throw some 20s on it the very next day. Looking for ideas for ICE and performance mods. Also for forums and maybe local groups.
Dont know how tight z/g community is ......but hopefuly its as close as bmw community I have been active in for over 10 yrs.

Ill take some pics this weekend of the Z. Im suprised how smooth this car rides even on 20s. Nissan has really upped its game.

I wanted a cheap daily driver as my 05 M3 had too many miles on it already. 60k in 20 months! Sold that and bought this 07 350z. I dont like any of BMWs current offering except M6 but it is currently out of my budget.

I have a few bmw e30s. My quickest one is track only.(gutted to 2300lbs) Was running 12.2 @ 117 . Archaic rear suspension inhibits traction and amount of tire I can stuff behind that old bimmer. otherwise I imagine low-mid 11s. I am awaiting a 3.1L vs stock 2.5L kit from metric mechanic as I want to dip into 10s before end of year...and rod finally gave out at 300k!
So again Im new to the Nissan Z scene. Other Nissan I have is an 05 Pathfinder ready to be traded too. This Z car grows on me daily even though its a holdout car till both new e92 M3 and Nissan GTR come out.It will be a tough choice. But I made a good choice with this car except there doesnt seem to be any mods out there...engine wise.
LOL.... Koo. I just got mine last month too..... What color are the rims black with crome lip? Alot of the Z now comes with it from the dealer...20z.. I was gonna get one with the 20s. but I bet you everyone else has it too cuzz its all the same rims. lolz

You were right. She is slow but not that slow. Had a grudge match with one of my co-workers today, he has an 07 Roush stage II. beat him 9 times.
. We both sucked at first but consistently ran low 14s final 5 runs. Dont know the altitude but it was 85 F.So...with my big heavy 20s on, no spare, half tank, my car weighed in at 3250 lbs.Bone stock 2500 miles. His Roush II was at 3440 lbs. (half tank,no spare, stock 18 though). its a roush II so dont know much about it. 5000 miles on it.
So I need to put my stock rollers back on and practice my launch. My best run with heavy *** 20s.

As mentioned Ill throw the factorys back on next time I go to track. But these will stay on for daily activities. My bimmers are my track specific cars.
BTW- My buddy went home and ordered headers/catback/ cold air intake for his car. Told him he just needs more seat time but he said he felt humiliated. I hate how mustangs have a HUGE afermarket.
Think only an exhuast will bolt on to the 07. Everything else is still being developed. Any ideas for exhuast or other worthwhile mods? Thats why I came here. You guys know way more about Zs then I do.
After your buddy installs his new mods, you can take him again. You don't need any new mods. Just swap your stock 18" rims/tires back. I guarantee you'll beat him again. Or if you want to mod for around $300, buy a y-pipe & test pipes. You'll pick up a few more hp & tq. Exhaust system should be the same as previous years.
