Hey Rick, I would like to go down there again. Wed. is a little short notice, but I could probably swing it. Here is an idea though, have you seen this?

5/9/2003 - San Antonio Raceway Import Racing Series
For those of you wanting to take your car down the dragstrip, San Antonio raceway is hosting their monthly import race. Cost is $10 for spectators, $15 for tech card/test and tune. Entry to Import Race Series is free with purchase of tech card. Gates open at 6:00pm with Test and Tune starting at 6:30pm. Import Race qualifying starts at 9:00pm. You will run one qualifying run then the top 16 will be separated and run heads up while the rest will run bracket. More information can be seen at the River City Raceway website.

Can you wait until Friday night?

You going to be going earlier this time?

I'm down either way, but would like to get there as close to opening as possible, for as many runs as possible. I want enough passes to be able to experiment. I will get into the 13's, just so you all know I don't have any work to do until 12:30am so my partner up here is covering for me, so time is not such an issue this time for me.

I really wish I hadn't just fueled up today though, I really wanted to be at about 1-3 gallons of gas, oh well. People who claim the extra weight helps, I don't buy at all. With a car with more power, maybe, not ours though.

PM'd my cell number DrRick. Let me sleep until around noon before you think about calling me

Is a helmet required for 13's Rick? anyone know? I'd rather not bring more junk, unless needed. I know that most tracks are helmet with 13's, something else for 12's, and then for sub 12 roll cage required.

Yeah Rivercity only requires helmets when you go below 13.0. Good luck guys, that is a really good track, especially in comparison to Alamo Dragway. Anyone ever go there? Is it still open? Alamo is where my dad and uncle got into it and Rivercity is where I played with my street cars.

Hey Rob, let me know if your still planning on going tonight (Wed.) or if you would consider going on Friday and see all the imports run after 9:00. That way we could both be there with 1 gallon in the tank. I filled up recently too.

No problem DrRick, hope all is OK. I don't think I'm going to go tonight now with just the two of us Anthz. I can't go Friday night because of stupid weekend work I keep having to do every Friday night it seems like, bleh!
