Default HFC Install

I just installed STRUP test pipes over the weekend and you will need to know that there are two bolts on the DRIVER'S side Cat (where the header itself bolts to the Cat) that can only be reached from the TOP of the engine bay. We used about 8 short extensions (for flexibility) and I was under the car guiding it on while my buddy turned the rachet. Same method used for taking off the Cat or removing the Cat. This was my personal experience. Maybe someone else has more. Al-in-all, it wasn't really hard per se but it just took time. Have fun and let me know how it goes.

If a shop is installing your headers, you might as well have them install the cats also.

Yes, I agree. While you're there they might as well put the new Cats on anyway. The might have to drop the Y-pipe and Cats anyways for clearance issues for their tools/hands, etc. so they may not even charge you at all for the Cat install.
