looking fot tint shop
I had Alta Mere in Oklahoma do mine on my other car about 6 years ago...and the tint still looks great....a little faded....but no ugly bubbles...
I'm assuming there are equally good out here...
Isn't there a Texas law about how dark the tint can be? And it is not very dark...

I've never had a problem and I usually go around the 15-20% area.

im am not really concerned about the texas law regarding tint.. i would rather pay a few tickets than get early age skin cancer in this rediculous heat.

Racer mentioned that they would do it if you pay cash...even the large chains or would you have to go to a small locally owned shop?

Just a warning, police often take it personally when you get it ultra dark, and will write you up for more than just dark tint. You have to appreciate the fact that they are putting their life on the line walking up to a car that they can't see in. I am sure you are not the criminal type, but they don't know that.
You are just asking for extra harrassment, but I'm sure you know that, just tossing that out there.

You're front two windows aren't supposed to be darker than 35%. I don't know what the rule is on front windshields--I've never had the desire to do that. But you can find shops that will tint darker for you, although it usually takes cash.

The entire windshield CAN be tinted, but you need to have a medical condition to proove that your eyes are so light sensitive that you require a tinted front windshield. More hassle than its worth if you ask me.
Actually there is a pending court case holding up any tint violations in texas. Most police depts are not writing citations because of this. According to Dallas PD they are not going to write any citations until there is clarification on the law from the courts or the state legislature.
Now getting a state inspection might be hard because as far as I know they are not passing cars that are darker than the standard 35-20. As for tint if you dont mind traveling to Addison we would love to tint your car.
I work at Innerspace Audio Video at Beltline and Marsh. And My 350 is always there so you can see the finished product.
