Unwanted heat?
I have a 05 enthusiast Z and latley I've noticed warm air blowing out from under the drivers side dash. My ac/heat control is in the off position so I dont know why it's blowing hot!? Any ideas?
The latch that allows access into the cabin, under the dash, is adjustable;
start with that easy-access area, & work your way in there, if necessary
(was this during a warm or a chilly day???). Good luck!

It happened again today so I reached uder the dash to find out where it is coming from. It seems there is a vent which is right next to my right leg that is emitting heat. When I got home I looked at it more closely to see if there is a way to close it, but there isn't as far as I can see.

I also have a 05. I noticed the same thing. In the summer, if I cruise with the windows down, my legs begin to sweat. This even happens at night. I believe this is result of the engine being moved back for better balance. Also I noticed Nissan cut a lot of corners to keep the cost of the car down. I believe ventilation of engine heat was one of them. After researching, I have found this is a problem for a lot of sports cars.

Check your lil AC button where it controls whether you have air coming in from the outside, or just recycling the air around the cabin. if you have the heater set to 85+ and even though its off, and you have the air set coming from the outside, the air from the outside will come in still and it will be hot.
especially when your driving fast. try adjusting the temp to 60 with the air off. sometimes you get a lil bit of cool air coming in instead
