Default Exhaust Installation Dallas

Hello, I was curious to know if anyone has had any success with exhaust installation in the North Dalls area? I have a top speed which I would like installed and most places i called charge 2 hours for labor at a rate of $85 per hour which I found to be expensive. Thanks

*I did get this done by Andy at Firestone/Bridgestone in Frisco. He did it for $50. I have no automotive skills, or else i would have attempted it myself. Thanks

Yes the Top Speed is an axle back exhaust, which is rather simple to install. A great DIY.

Congratulations on the new exhaust system.

Uh, no.

It's a y-pipe back exhaust (has 5 pieces - mid-pipe, 2x canisters, 2x silencers). Topspeed also makes a y-pipe, test pipes, and headers also, if you want to change out any other exhaust components and want something cheap.

There are couple of other axle back exhausts, like ARC.

I though an axle back was a muffler with the mid-pipe, basically everything excluding the y-pipe?

Did you want to place your 4th bet against me? You still owe me some money, iirc.

Cat-back = from the cats to the back.
Y-pipe back = from the y-pipe to the back
axle back = from your rear axles to the back

just do it yourself, it took about an hour tops. as far as thinking 85 an hour is high for a labor rate keep in mind i work at a dealership in dallas and we are about 140 an hour
