dyno tuning in houston?
im interning in houston for the summer and i was wondering if there are any good reputable shops in the area, preferably closer to the woodlands, that i can get a good dyno tune for my lightly modded 03. mycurrent mods are 3/16 iso thermal spacer, nismo headers and exhaust. now in about 3 weeks i will go back to el paso for about 5 months to finish school then ill be back down here. will the way higher elevation and way dryer climate in el paso make that big a difference on the tune for when i go back? or should i just wait? thanks in advance!

ive actually done done research into them, dug up the thread about the conflict within their company a while back, both good and bad experiences. they used to show some activity on the forumn, which shows a lot for me, but stopped like a year ago, so i wasnt sure what the deal was with them anymore. i know they are only like 20 mins from me so thats a plus. ill give em a call and see if they can sell me, thanks!

The guys at Carboy are entirely Asian. They definitely know what they are working with.

I haven't heard a single bad happening at Carboy, that's why I took my car there and came back completely satisfied. I cannot say the same for SGP. If you want more information on what happened to my friend's cousin with his Supra, you can PM me.

lol just cuz they're asian and seem to know what they're working with dont mean they know everything about the car or know exactly what they're doing......
as far as SGP goes they're a good shop...
some people have have good and bad experiences with different shops... just cuz someone says they had a bad experience with a shop doesn't mean they're telling the whole story... cuz hell i know i had damn well good experience the first and second time i dealt with SGP

lol @ basing tuning skillz on ethnicity. I've known jackie since the early 90s. They know hondas. If you want your Z tuned...take it to SGP. They've built over 400 VQs....and that's just built motors.

i called yesterday and talked to one of their guys, very knowledgeable and very friendly. it seems like a great place for a one stop general repair and need for speed fixations. i have an 83 280zxt too and it looks like they have a guy there thats good with older z's, so thats a big plus for me. it seems like the good reviews and comments outweigh the bad.
thanks for all the input and keep em comin!

I should have known the bandwagon will run me over if I give a negative comment towards SGP. Stupid me.
