Default Running Speaker wires through the doors.

Anybody around here ever done it, on the 350z of course..? I need some help as I don't want to mess up my BCM or bend pins, looked over the DIY a few times already, looking for someone who has actually done it to help me out/make it easier on me.

^^why not use the speaker wire already in there? I did that on mine.. And you can use the existing spacer to make sure the window doesnt hit..

Sintaxerror covered this topic pretty good. I used it when I ran my cables. Its very time consuming to cut out the bits in the door connector. I spent about 2hrs per door with an exacto knife cutting through the 3 layers of plastic in all 4 connectors (male & female in each door).

I do not want to use the stock 22+ gauge wire, it's very small.

Dave, I've looked at the DIY a few times now, I rather much have someone who has done it already there to help me. One bend of the wire and I'll be replacing some expensive crap.

Bee, Who did it for you?

I did it myself, it was just a pain, and I was the same way you were. Freaked out the whole time that I was gonna mess something up. I had only had my car for about 3 days when I did it too. Just take your time, you will be ok.

I ran my wires through the wire loom, through the wire harness. It was a pain in the *** but it comes out nicely when it's done. Use a rotary dremel tool, CUT SLOWLY AND BE CAREFUL. My friend wasn't careful and cut out a wire, he ended up running a jumper wire to fix it.

I was soo scared that I was going to mess mine up too. I was very slow and meticulous. You can do it, just pay attention and be prepared to work in a tight space for a while.

This makes it pointless to run a new speaker wire if I were to attach it to the old wire, I'm running a entire new wire to upgrade to a 12-16gauge wire, rather then using the OEM 22-24gauge thin wire.

I may even pay someone to do it for me, or buy em some beer and pizza, who's up for it? I would normally do everything myself, but bending/breaking pins and messing up the BCM is too costly for me to risk. As long as you don't mess up anything. I need to run 2 wires through the door.
