i just had to shake that knock sensor code myself jake if its a p0327 i believe, went through a whole 6 month ordeal...if its not that bad it won't trigger the light but lets say if something throws a code it'll keep the light on

IE i have a mishimoto racing thermostat and in cold weather it'll throw the temp too low code and go away after a few days of running regular temp..when i was throwing the knock code it would keep the light on.

To my understanding its very rare for the knock sensor to be bad. Replacing the harness fixed the issue for me. My car was accelerating like *** with that code. High amplification on *** lol lagging somethin terrible

A good thread:

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...placement.html

fixed mine with this:

I find it kind of funny that the only one to respond to my question about an inspection place is a guy that just moved here from California. He gave a good suggestion, but I'm wondering if anyone can recommend another shop. Just wanna see if there's one closer to the house.

Again, I need a shop that will not make a fuss about my window tint.

I'll need inspection in June but I've had a SES light on since the tune. ECU has the wrong ROM. Assuming I can't get it fixed by then that is.

$100 to pass an inspection?

I could understand if I had a 15 year old POS that wouldn't pass anything, but it's cheaper for me to strip and retint the windows AND pay the inspection.

I'm used to slipping a $20 to a buddy to pass on the windows, but an extra $60? Nah

I've never paid more than what the state charges for an inspection to pass my vehicles. No cats, aem ecu, tinted windshields and I never will. If you want a place in dallas pm me I have three or four different places.

Wow you guys are busy 2 pages since yesterday in this lounge...I've done quite a bit of engine work and installs, I did all my own z work myself so pm for installs I'm game to help out and meet up.

BTW where is a good place to get a tune. gas in cali is 91 octane and out here its 93 so my utec needs some love and attention.

I haven't been in TX too long but I also have a smog hook up

ok then I should prepare for about 300 for utec tune. They sound reputable enough so hopefully they know what they are doing with UTEC

EDIT: anybody in the area with LS swap looks like this has been kicked around left and right in engine forum
