I would do some research to see if guys are seeing any real gains from headers. It may not be worth the cost, let alone the hassle.

I know the only reason Jake did his was because he had to pull his motor to fix something else anyways.

I wouldnt install headers while
Engine was still in. I'd rather drop the motor then install. Even on a lift it's hard while engine is in

I would agree, but if you aren't comfortable getting under the car I would stick to R1's suggestion.

I did my headers and its involving with the engine in the car but it can definitely be done. You have to disconnect the stearing column/shaft the coolant pipes and have the car in the air (or jacked up) with decent breathing room. Because the header's runners are somewhat "equal length" it was the only thing blocking the path to my headers so I marked it with sharpie then disconnected the steering. so long story short IF the engine happened to be out of the car I would give it a shot otherwise if you are going to all those labor pains and dont mind the work then try it. if you look at the smal restrictive stock headers you will see anything is better including these.

everyone!

I have a question about inspections. What all do they do to check the exhaust? Visual and emissions check right?

Pretty sure my 2nd O2 sensor is throwing a code due to HFC's, but I have a forever SES light due to ECU having the incorrect ROM flashed onto it. Sounds like pay2pass is the only way to go unless I find a used ECU soon.
