So - Day was hot morning was nice - I REALLY REALLY need to work on braking - i am having a difficult time committing to the late brake capabilities this car possesses and it was a little too hot for me to run REALLY get aggressive for more than 5 laps due to engine heat (no underpinning lmao) so downshifting to 3rd was a luxury only - however 4th gear the entire track worked great and i was able to capture some 2:20's - downshifting into third "time attack style" i was able to get down to 2:15 which was my goal so i'm stoked -
- i never did get the late braking down but a few times i nearly shat myself diving in deeeep - it is really amazing how much this car can stop - it totally freaks me out - its a really hard adjustment from stopping to early to and stoping too late - so after i got the lines ironed out i see plenty of room for improvement - I think i'm going to run @ college station in october though - so i won't be back to ECR until after the new year more than likely but i can't wait - super fun - SUPER FUN DAY - i wish i had some vid for ya'll
sorry -
I also LOVE these tires - i don't think i'm going to buy anything else at the moment - these things are sticky as hell - and also my camber settings turned out to be perfect from what i can tell - i didn't have any push at all i could actually track out with ease and the vts saved my *** on a wet spot in the morning 3 times before i realized the track was seeping and my line was gay - i have never driven with driving "aids" on before - so it was VERY interesting to feel it kicking in at random times throughout the track - it actually helped me more to realize i was off my line - i enjoyed the day and the car immensely -
summary - car drives great - tires stick great - I found it crazy i could drive the entire track in forth gear and had fun doing it - i hit 110-115 on the back straight - but 115 was REALLY diving in deep might have been able to get 120 if i had a better exit speed....and bigger ***** -
Sorry guys - no in-car camera for ya
- we had a go-pro failboat occur -
all i got is photo ***** photos

I hope you guys enjoy
- i think my next event will be at an autocross because its cheap and i have family in mineral wells
- i might try one of the drifting things there too - flopping some old 19's on the works and hang it out there - i've been doing the road courses for a while - will be fun to goof around doing some different stuff -

my instructor

RE11 are the tires i am using - several people ( i gave ride alongs ) commented on the grip being great - i enjoyed the grip as well - and a guy running hoosiers wanted to show me some lines said i'd be fine following him with those tires... (thank god he showed me some lines it made my day) -
I was able to keep all 4 on the track at all times - had some buddies decide to put all 4 off track - some of them lost parts (the track ate them) -
thanks for the help from all of ya'll - helped me set up the car and know what to look for and all the offers to help out get'n it going as well -
i had an interesting conversation - I did have a guy ask me if the brakes were overkill? i asked him can you have overkill with your brakes? and he said yeah - like every time you step on them the car skids.... and i was like oh.... no they don't do that - i was thinking to myself - skidding would be not functioning.... rather than being overkill - and my miata joke for the day - was that he put big brakes on his miata... we all know you remove the brakes from a miata to save weight - they don't even need brakes for the corners -

I had a guy that I have used over the past few years (my Z and several others), but my buddy couldn't get ahold of him last week. I'm going to try him and see if I can reach him because he does the best tint job I've seen and he's about the cheapest as well. I'll let you know if I can get ahold of him tomorrow.
^^ yeah i do... and i didn't think you all would want to see pics of the crazy *** atom and gt2 vette that were on track - and the bmw touring car.... or the gtr or cadillac -
and a couple of those pics up there are vids although short vids
I like Tritek window tinting -

If you need a tint job there's this guy that I found through Jason that does good tint job for really good price. You can pm me I'll give you his number. He's located near DFW Airport.
I keep a large towel in the car to drape over the drivers seat...it helps a lot !
I would be careful about the Limo tint on the side windows...sometimes it is so hard to see out at night time. Also, you will have a hard time getting your safety inspection every year.
Travis...do you have a front shade blocker ? These help the most from keeping sunlight in & heating up your interior.
