None of y'all know what your talkin about... Just kidding. Actually it can vary depending on quality of parts. Some poly bumpers are thick as hell and weigh a lot. They are hard to fix if torn. Some will come smooth and others will be wavy. Same goes for fiberglass. Some will be wavy and others pretty straight. It can all be fixed with filler or putty. Fiberglass is always easier to fix. If your missing a piece you can make that piece. I prefer Fg but

If you are in an area where you Z bottoms out a lot, I would lean toward Poly to be honest. I have the FRP Nismo v2 Front, very nice piece from Shine. I haven't been able to do anything with my Z since it is in the paint shop still
i think i would be okay with fiberglass,, 9/10 i back when parking and since i got that zspeed undershroud my front end is really stiffened up already so it i hit anything it might crack. i really like the design of this front end...
i have yet to ever bottom out, and if i do nose in somewhere i am a good foot away from the curb or whatever.

If your normal driving areas are good enough then you probably would be fine with fiberglass. As far as how the fitment and paint turn out - that's all in the quality of work put in by the body shop.

I hate it when a client thinks they know more about your job than you do. I told him this would take me two days and he thinks it will be done in 4-5 hours... I'll be lucky to be done in 12 hours if we push hard and take a short lunch
yeah so i text that guy about the bumper to see if we were still good for me to come look at it and grab it from him... he said that a friend destroyed his so he gave it to him... kinda effed up after i pretty much guaranteed him i would take if off his hands.....

So I finally get a saturday afternoon to go do something and everyone is tied up. I went to buy ammo to go to the range, but nobody could go so I put it all back on the shelf.
yeah i am rethinking all body parts right now..... so essentially he might have done me a favor

Finally signed up for next week's autoX. I'm registrant number 22. I like when there aren't 60 cars running. You guys think it will fill up?

Do you know if he's on the forums?
Less registrants doesn't mean more runs with the BMW, right? I guess, if anything, we can look forward to leaving early.
he was going to work when i was getting off... the only time we could meet up was tomorrow. not sure if he is on the forums or not. its no biggie, thinking of going with my original idea, Stillen front splitter and that is it.

I say go with the Stillen Splitter (or APR, or other subtle lips). I've been wanting the Stillen for years but never pulled the trigger.
BTW, who here is a gadget nerd? If anyone cares, I recently put Jelly Bean (Vicious 4.1.1 + Faux beta 1.8 GHz kernel) on my Galaxy Nexus and is f***ing awesome. Gimmicky feel aside, I'm really liking the Google Now and the improved voice search, particularly from a practicality and efficiency standpoint. The UI improvements are pretty noticeable and the subtle changes can be appreciated. I like how they're taking cues from other OSs, too. It's not a significant upgrade from ICS, but it's well worth the time and effort, imho.
