Mike bought his Z completely set up. Those brakes are badass, but you can buy a supercharger for the price of them.

Mike - I like how you suggested a $50k car for Patrick. He's talking about affordable cars and low payments and you're like BAM! here's a Porsche. HAHA

Patrick - did you say a back seat is a must? I've seen some 07-08 HR Zs for cheap lately. Maybe even snag a G37 coupe for a low price and get the back seat. You know it's hard to beat the engineering that went into the Z/G.

well .... yes... that one was just for reference though - the 98's through 01's are not terrible in price - but are excellent in handling... i fear maint on them though - they were on my radar when i was shopping for a car - so were Gen 3 RX7's -

Travis - I bought my car as is - accept i added shroth harnesses and a few do-dads here and there - I just came out of a LONG build relationship with a Supra and I'm still building the WRX - so i wanted something exactly like my z ready to run

For comparison on the brakes, i thought this was cool. after a track run we shot the temp on my calipers - they were aprox 328df - my buddies toyota celica brakes were aprox 738df! after the same run so - i was runinng faster lap times braking harder in a heavier car (debatable), and my brakes were nearly 400df cooler - i thought that was amazing. All things said and done - i would recommend these brakes to everyone - necessary? meh prob not - but awesome at what they do? yes - and get good tires - crappy tires and good brakes are a stupid combination.

obviously get what you like though, that is what is most important..... i used to really want one of those RX-7's but they were too high dollar for me when i wanted one

The problem with a '98-'01 Porsche is that it's too old. The bank isn't going to loan him money for an 11-14 year old car.

Yeah those things are awesome. We had a fender rolling party at Fithamoto's house a few years ago. I think there were 5 of us (4 for sure) that pitched in for the rental so it was a cheap mod for sure.

Speaking of action pictures... does anyone have a GoPro or something similar that I could borrow this weekend? Chris has one, but he'll be racing with me.

I'm going to buy one eventually. I just need to do more research on the best one to buy.

Thanks Scott. How far are you from Fry's Electronics? I need to get by there and pick up a micro SDcard that's on sale. The GoPro uses microSD right?

They use a SD card, no micro. But you can use my card if you want.

The Frys on 635 is the closest one to me. 15 min away.

Ya that's the one I go to also. I guess if I can't make it by there I'll use your card. Thanks.
