well six weeks after buying the car the throw out bearing went out, so when they replaced it they said the clutch looked really good, so i guess you could say that i at least had a transmission service per se a year ago. after seeing what you said i guess it makes sense, why spend the money if daily and not driving it hard.

....then again, why not?

In the end, it's all up to you. That was just my opinion and mine only.

Because race car lol he makes a very good point though. I only did mine because my OEM clutch was about worn and my throw out bearing crapped out.

I personally think it is a waste since your clutch is in good shape and hasn't given you any issues of slipping.
Kinda like buying a set of tires before you really need them.

I only have the super duper ***** to the wall clutch because the previous owner went Mikes10 status and put it in.

I've mentioned before that I love my clutch because it grabs and goes like no other Z I've driven. However, Chris explained well how it's not one of those things that is completely necessary, but up to you. Kinda like my RPF1s. I didn't NEED them, but it was something I wanted for a very long time and jumped on the ridiculously low price.

Edit: If you're going to buy a helmet check these out.

Eric,

I would make sure that the Helmet meets the "Snell 2010" rating...because the AutoX requirements will soon get there for the 2010 rating.

Right now it is only Snell 2005....but might as well get the 2010 rating and be good for a long time.

Ya that's what I'm unsure of on those, but I own the full face and wore it on the motorcycle a few times as a spare helmet. I'll check it when I get home. I haven't had anyone "tech inspect" my helmet yet though.

Snell 1940

Who knows what clutch you have in your Z Mike. LOL

Good point though... drive it until you need a clutch and then worry about it.

Hell when i bought my clutch and flywheel combo and pulled the old stuff out, i found out i already had a nismo light weight flywheel. Ended up just giving it to Jason. I loved my jwt set up though. Just as easy as stock to drive and no real flywheel chatter and it was a 14lb flywheel.

Ya I was actually about to text you. It's from 10-2 this time so I plan to get there at 10, but will most likely leave around noon. Looks like Fithian showed interest on the VQ FB page.

I say take your savings and get some seat time. Just go to as many races as you can over the next few months. Then you can decide which way to go with the car. Better tires, suspension, HP or maybe you'll be happy were your at.

Looking for an exhaust. Found this to be interesting though I can find ZERO info on the web about this particular piece. Anyone familiar with it? Which kit is it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/BORLA-MUFFLE...51165336629%26

Looks to be an axle back. I tried to look up if borla even makes a axle back and can't find anything. I wouldn't buy it. If you want more power hfc/test pipes are your best upgrades.

I've heard of the Borla True Dual for the Z, but that looks like a single. I don't know the specifics, but there are complete setups that you can get for the price of just that muffler.
