I disagree with Jason, EVERYONE buys vettes... if your going to upgrade like that, go for a gt-r, or something at least a bit more exclusive

 

40k vette 80k GT-R, whole different league. honestly, if anyone asks me if it worth it to turbo a Z, i would tell them to sell it and buy a fast car. if i had to do it again, i would have bought a viper.

 

That is the only reason why I don't want to turbo the Z. I know way too many people that have constant issues. The Z was not meant to boost, it will take it, but it will eventually break something.

It's funny that you mentioned a vette, I went for a ride in a buddies vette a couple weeks ago and really liked it. The targa top is a nice plus also.

Get a c6 z06 if you buy a vette. So you'd take a viper over the twin-turbo z Jason?

 

oh yeah. so much more exotic and easy to mod. my buddies neighbor just picked up one up. 2004 srt10 convertible, 33k miles, $36,000. here is a good reason not to buy one though, insurance. i got quotes and they were all around $300 a month. I pay $80 a month for my Z.

Try to find a used Acura RSX - S type in the same price range. Or maybe even a Mini Cooper-S. I know its a dd, but mine as well get the best bang for your buck....what ever that amount is.
