On a better note.....I just got my new tires mounted this past weekend and have a new Square set up.....they are 265/35/18's all the way around. I hope to maybe get a bit more life out of them by being able to rotate them around from front to back.

Also the MGR at Discount tire in Plano....named Todd....will flip or re mount any of the AX or Track guys tires for only $10 per tire for remount & tire balance. pretty sweet for us.

It is located at 121 & Ohio.

so i have been in a funk the last couple of days, and in the past when i get like this... buy car parts. should i powder coat my wheels or replace my sways with the Hotchkiss ones?

i want to powercoat the insides of the the wheels and back of spokes satin black, so when you look at the wheel the spoke will "pop" more being on a black background.... make sense?

i need tires for the 17" Weapons i got from pat, so i am getting closer

Chris - I've got a good relationship with the manager at the Discount Tire in Grapevine. I could save you alot of driving. I've got an appointment there this Saturday for my truck so I'll talk to him about matching that deal.

James - You still need 18s or what? I've got three factory 17s (wheel/tire) and 4 18" tires. CHEAP

 

Eric, I was thinking of talking to the MGR at Grapevine Discount tire also so I wouldn't have to drivers far....so let us know what you come up with from him.

It would be great to have a place that will flip our tires and re-balance them for $10 bucks each.

Finally, after almost 6 months from buying these rotors and pads, I finally got around to replacing them out.

Oh it feels like new now. I went back to Yellows on the EBC pads.

If anybody needs some EBC Blue Front pads that still have a little bit left then get a hold of me.

I get to break in my new brakes & Tires this Sunday at Pennington !

The surface on the TX autox venues must be real rough because my tires are pretty worn as well. And that's without any daily miles on them.

I thought your tires were new at the beggining of the season this year ? Both you and Scott had New RS3's early this season. your tread should still be good. Mine were bald on both sets. I gave them to Pat. He will use them up down to the cords !

How many events have you run on them ? And none at Mineral Wells either.....speaking of MW, I will probably limit my events out there to only TT's sine they will be slightly less wear on the tires....I need to make these last as long as I can. And at least the TT's your going fast and at a consistent speed without hard braking and turning.

Anyways, that's my plan...whether I stick to it or not.
