Thumbs down

If you haven't heard, I broke my camber arm (again). It happened mid corner at autox. I think there may have been an existing crack in my camber arm (from going off track), or at least it was weakened and bent. The bushings on the SPC arms are really soft and literally crumbles with use. All that combined = camber arm failure. <pics 1-5>

This has actually happened to me before with a different pair of camber arms (some ebay brand) 2 years ago, also mid corner but on a track. <pics 6-7>

I'll post this here too. My fastest run from yesterday at TMS. Good enough for 6th place (but only 13 entries this time). I like this camera view better than on top of the car. Makes me want to splurge on another GoPro for the other side and run split screen.

We finally get to see a video from you! Nice run, Eric. Impressive results/standing, too.

I think split screen (1 from each side) will look too hectic. Might as well just get it from the front since the GoPros shoot at wide angles anyway. In my videos, I show them separately, or do a PIP. But yeah, 2 GoPros FTW!

I thought everyone went to Mexico with you Travis. It was that quiet.

Storm on Friday had my entire apt complex and all the surrounding hotels, gas stations, and street lights out. It was completely blacked out at night. Felt like a zombie apocalypse.

That really stinks Chris. You had to flat bed the car home? Hope no other suspension got damaged.

Nah, Eric actually came out with OEM camber arms and tools so I could limp it back home. Flatbeds are expensive (did that before and my ins only covers up to $50), especially coming from Mineral Wells. It would also mean that I'd have to drop it off at a shop, which would cost more (labor, part, time, etc) than doing it myself.

So what's the next event that you guys are going to? If my camber arm gets fixed and my car is aligned in time, I'm going to attend the SCCA event this coming Sunday, 18th. After that, the next one available is the NTAXS on Sat, 9/7.

My next one will be 9/7 at TMS with NTAXS. I believe this Saturday is open for me so you can come over and we'll install your arms/toe bolts. I'll let you know if that changes though.

My rear shock on the driver side might have a slight leak and thinking about slapping a replacement pair. I have a pair of G35 shocks with 50k miles but they are not in excellent condition but better than my 105k stockers on there right now. Any one have any low mileage rear shocks for 350z available. I might have to hit up jake and rummage through his garage / clean it for him

I'm not sure if this is any better than what Scott posted, but I found a site to achieve what we're doing.

You know what's worse? Knowing that your friend was seeing that for five days while we were all at work lol. Except for Scott, he was in Hawaii for a few days while you were gone.
