Anyone have any quick helpful tips to find out where an exhaust leak is coming from? Getting really frustrated lol...thinking maybe the resonator in my test pipe failed, I guess pulling the entire exhaust off is the best option?

Bang on the resonator, if it's broken you'll hear it rattling in there. I've broken two or three of those. Finally just bought straight test pipes.

When I brought the FX in once and had this exhaust shop check for a leak they looked for black soot at the connections.

Whats the sound issue? I would think a leak and a fail resonator would sound quite different.

If you think it's a leak, stuff some cloth into exhaust outlets or have someone block them with gloves on. Then go under the car and put your hand over and around the exhaust pipes/joints to see if you can feel any leaks while listening for any hissing sounds. Make sure to turn your car on just before you crawl under the car so you don't have hot piping hovering over you. It'll get hot pretty quick, though.

Ya mine was a metallic rattling sound. I bottomed out getting in and out of a friends driveway that was paved but they are bricking it so there was a large drop off.

Quite on here today. I paid the remainder of my exhaust today, so it can just ship when its ready

^Nice! Now the waiting game begins. I'll text you tomorrow about the inspection stuff and we can plan a time that works.
Anyone happen to have a .45 XDS? Someone recommended one of those, so I wanted to try it out.

Target Masters in Garland should have one to shoot, so I thought about going there. I can't remember if that's where I did my CHL qualification, but the location seems similar.

Passed the inspection, yay!
Travis, I want one of those hail protectors in clear so I can drive around with it on. Looks like an airstream.

I want my ABS fixed already ! Sheez....been about a month without the Z.
I can drive it, but not feeling too safe without the brakes working 100%.
As long as you drive it slow and no hard braking you are fine.
I did find out a good aspect to disconnecting your ABS tho....your Speedo will not register speed...therefore, your mileage doesn't show up either !
So you can basically dis-engage your ABS and drive the car without any mileage showing up.

That's got to drive you nuts driving around with every single light on the dash on. Have you tried to trouble shoot it any more? Or post in the Maintenance / Repair section on this forum see if anybody is able to help you out.
