I just know that it's on the ECR calendar. I haven't seen any other info on it yet.

Who wants to go and see "Rush" with me at the movies in the future ?

It is supposed to be pretty good film and very accurate of the mid '70's F1 racing. 1976 to be exact.

Watch some of these videos....they are classic.

Anyone know of a shop that rebuilds steering racks? Have my Audi in a shop in Grand Prairie right now and the rack is toast. Thanks P O for disclosing when buying.

I don't really have a date or time yet...was just trying to see if there was enough peeps interested.

I saw some good interviews with the original cast and real drivers....so I was wondering if anybody else would want to see it together.

Maybe this next Sunday or the next weekend after that....I'm in no hurry.

Lucky,
Have you checked into finding a used steering rack from a wrecking yard ?
Could be really cheap.

well crap, my drivers headlight has condensation in it, and when i tap it something is rattling when the passenger one is solid sounding. might see if i can find just the shells and take em to Q's guy to get painted and then swap the ballast and everything at that point.... wonder what in the hell is rattling

Whoa Pat....those are some hefty hours...but good OT at least !

Pound out those hours....you will be tired....but you will feel good when it is all over and done.

Travis, that bites that your headlight is rattling and has a leak somewhere....I saw a left side head light on CL for sale. I know you don't want to buy one, but at least it is an option if yours is in bad shape. It is '06 and newer.

Well my freelance has run a bit dry and slow a little earlier than I expected....so I haven't been working as much. I'm the opposite of Pat, I need some work !
I have a couple applications out at some random places, but it is very unlikely I will land the full time job. So I will just keep collecting unemployment and try to get more freelance gigs.
Wish me luck I get something soon or I might not be racing for a while anymore.

hey there fellas. i miss my old stomping grounds. how's things going in the DFW Z scene ?

Sucks to hear about your slow freelance work, Chris. I hate living in fear of losing my job. makes decision-making about buying a house/ kids, etc very hard.

yeah not sure.. what i am going to do in the mean time is drop the wheel well liner down and take the turn signal bulb out and get a hair dryer to get the moisture out for now.... and then maybe take it out and run a bead of silicone around it to get me by for a bit. think i might do what i said and see if i can get just the housings no ballast wiring or anything

Once I got back from autox I started putting on the new exhaust, HFC's, and new MRev2 plenums and intake manifold (all port and polished )

Next is to plug in Uprev and tune it.

I'll post the video of my run when I get home from work. It was great seeing others I didnt see/talk to at the meet.

Do you have a baseline Dyno of your Z without any mods on it ?

It would be good to measure what kind of gains you are getting from these.

I never got a baseline on it, I wish I could of back in September but I was out of town that weekend.

Are the wheel studs on z's 12mm? Because I bought some ADR rims cheap on craigslist and I was going to use them for autox, they came off a Altima so I figured they'd fit. But it seems like my wheel studs are too thick. Does nissan have different sizes on studs on their cars?
