Good seeing you again Jason, can't believe how long it's been.

Mavs game sounds like fun, but I don't want to see them lose lol. Sports bar could be a good option as well.

It was good seeing you again, Jason and everyone else. At the mini-meet, we talked about possibly doing an impromptu K1 meet next week. I'm not sure which weekday yet (maybe Wed or Thu) but the meet time will be 7 PM. K1 is currently offering buy 2 get 1 free during weekdays. Is there any interest in this?

So tonight on the way home from the Mavs game (that's right) my car started doing the throttle hesitation thing that Jake experienced last year. I'm assuming it's the same issue anyway.

Jake narrowed it down to the taillight swap, but his taillights on my car never caused an issue so we never switched back. One thing I noticed is that it only hesitates while accelerating with the blinker or hazards on. Also, turning the blinker on kills the cruise control.

Anyone ever have an issue like this? My first guess is not the taillights because they've been on for a year now without issue. I'm thinking it may be the trailer wiring because that's the only thing that's changed recently. The car was fine all the way to San Marcos and back. Just noticed the issue tonight.

Sounds like an electrical issue, which I hate dealing with. I spent 2 evenings working on the Tahoe the past couple days because the brake lights stopped working. I was checking all this stuff and then noticed a fuse was missing. Popped in a new one and it fixed it. I have no idea what happened there but I remember the fuse being gone the first time I looked but thought it was just like that. It wasn't the brake light fuse either, it was called something else, but still related.

Turning the blinker on killing CC makes me think that somehow it thinks your brakes are on when your blinker is. Trailer wiring ties into the brakes (thats something I checked last night actually) so that could be related. That's why I hate electrical stuff, you can't always just see what the problem is. I basically just fiddled with stuff until it started working.

Yeah it's definitely electrical. I'm assuming it's the trailer wiring since Jake also has trailer wiring and it's probably the exact same issue. I'll probably tear the bumper off tomorrow and check it all out.

I mounted the ground like you mentioned, but it could still be the weak point in the wiring. I was going to check it out Sunday, but everything was normal when test driving on the new brake pads. It appears to be hit or miss so it's probably the ground. I'll tear things apart soon enough and redo things.

So just ordered new brake pads and rotors. Probably need to get fluid too since that's never been changed as far as I know. How hard is the bleeding process? I think Q was asking recently. I don't have the Motive bleeder and not sure if it's worth buying, but might be good to borrow/rent. Any recommendations on fluid? I'm guessing there's something decent that I can get cheaper than OEM.

+1 And if for whatever reason you can't hook up with Jake for the power bleeder you can always go the two-man bleeding method. Another option is installing the SpeedBleeders. I just used those and they are awesome.

Are there any downsides to that fluid. For example, I probably don't need something that high spec'd, but I wouldn't want it to have like a shorter life or some other issue where it would be even less desirable. I'm not really finding a lot of options online as far as I can tell.
