I watched the weather guys on WFAA until the intensity of the lightning died down, which took about 30 minutes.

Exactly what I was thinking. Same thing happened to me once but it was right above my computer. I looked up and saw this huge water spot.

Everybody has to be afraid of something at some point in their lives. I have to admit the spider thing is a little childish, can't help it for whatever reason. I love thunderstorms though. I can watch lightning for long periods of time. I really enjoy watching the show Stormchasers. So that kind of stuff usually doesn't bother me.

I posted some stuff about having spiders in my car a while back in here and Jake was poking fun at me because I have an irrational fear of spiders. I don't remember what page it is at, but it's in here (DFW lounge) somewhere.

Last year, I was greeted a few times with the little creepy crawlers as I got in the car, one of which was crawling on my ear. I've never exited any car that fast in my life. Definitely not good for someone with arachnophobia like myself.

OMG OMG OMG We were driving down 190 (windows down) and we heard this loud thud

Next thing I know there is this HUGE and I am not exaggerating on size here moth bug thing on his leg

He was yelling at me to pick it up and throw it out the window.... I was freaking out like a little kid screaming, I was about to jump out of the car going 60mph or not..

OMFG ewww.. I had to pull out like 30 napkins from the dash to be able to pick it up, even then did I almost puke bc you can feel its guts squshing all over the napkin

just thinking about it make me cringe

Waterbugs POP...you know the BIG ones that have wings (ROACH). I used to cut the heads off to watch them run in circles..

Junbugs kristi...you know you like how they feel when they crawl on bare skin..

Snakes are the prolly the only thing that bothers me.. the kind with the big'ol sacks of venom just aching to get released while punctured underneath live flesh.. I can certainly watch shows about them though - quite interesting..

I know how smaller bugs and bugs with wings get into the flourescent light fixtures typically found in offices, but how does a cricket get in one? I can't say I remember seeing crickets crawl up walls and upside down on ceilings, but I guess they can?

Oh I have seen crickets all the time in those lights
They are gross but they can climb walls

June bugs are so nasty, I was riding a four wheeler one time and I had a grass hopper fly in my mouth... that was so disgusting

Snakes are not too bad - I just hate the ones that swim around in the lakes!

Speaking of nasty critters - we had a scorpion in our kitchen, I have never seen one until then, but I am surprised they are around this area...

I have two lights above my desk, and every so often a bug will get out of one of them and fall on my desk right in front of me. Scares me every time. It makes me want to do one of these...

SolidWorks 2009. I was still at service pack 0, so I figured now that SP4 is out, I should install it.

yeah, it already stopped once after 200 MB. Luckily, it has the option of picking up where it left off. I would have never known had I not checked on the progress. No warning or flashing orange box in the menu bar, nothing. It said 11 minutes remaining about 10 minutes ago, now it says 6 minutes remaining. 60% complete.
