After looking at the Z engine bay today, I realize how much easier it is to get to those hoses. The ones in the back are almost impossible for me to reach, especially without lifting up the plenum.
Ah I forget you got the FX. And it sits a lot higher most likely as well. Does the FX only come with VQ35DE's? I know nothing of the VX other then it comes with a VQ35 not sure revup, or hr or any of that. Does it change throughout any of the years like the Z?
Did you end up running still at the track?

My engine sits lower and farther back in the bay in relation to the firewall.
'03-'08 have the DE, never revup since all are 5AT. They also have the 45 with VK45DE.
'09+ has the HR, and the 50 has the VK50VE. In Europe the have the 37 and the 50.
I got 3 runs in, first was best with a 14.968 @ 90.46 MPH.

Hey, I was wondering if you guys can help me out.. I am trying to look for a place to eat dinner in the Dallas area for me and my girlfriend's birthday with a kind of a big group of people. She wanted it to be a nice place where we can dress up a little. Does anyone have any suggestions? Preferably somewhere not TOO expensive.

Or go up to Reunion tower in the Ball and eat there. I'm not too sure how the food is tho.

For those of you who knew of my spacer situation, it is all cleared up now. The bolt was broken off just enough out of the lower plenum for me to loosen it by hand and continue with pliers to finally take it out. None of the plastic spacers were missing so it seems my engine has not ingested anything bad. I moved that one extra long bolt to the broken bolt hole and put a stock bolt in that hole. I used the bolt driver to tighten everything rather than my torque wrench. Something seems wrong with it at very low setting. I couldn't even get it to click at 5 ft-lbs on the STB nuts.
Chris, I'll let you know when I decide to do the iso thermal gasket.

Dude,
Nice to meet you & your GF. I had a great time and next time will be even funner. I think we all will do better.
I'm glad she decided to go ahead and run the 1/4 herself. Now she will want to do it again next time.

STU,
at least you beat that other FX's time.....so you are now the fastest FX. You Baller !
To bad you couldn't fix that broken bolt at the track.
Maybe I can bring some tools with me next time to have for anybody that needs them. I'll bring a Jack also.
Maybe we should start like an emergency tool kit with basic tools and maybe like even some stock bolts and fluids for people that have issues like this time.

Actually, I was really close to bringing my socket and ratchet set just in case. Now I wish I had.

The only reason I even had the jack yesterday was to save time on changing my rears so I have more time to race. Good thing I brought it, even though I didn't get to race much, since that made working on the car a whole lot easier and safer.
