I've held and fired a lot of sub compacts and compacts. Just choose the one that feels the best to you. I personally, am going to give the S&W M&P Shield .40 a try. Coming from Glocks, I hope that the S&W will be just as solid and reliable as the Glock.
I've been wanting an XD-m 3.8 compact 9mm for awhile. Toyed with the idea of the XD-s, but decided I'd rather have more rounds and sacrifice a little bit of size.
If you guys are interested in going let me know. I think I saw it's the second weekend in April. I haven't been to one since I was much younger and was just there for a hunter's safety course, so I'd like to go with people who know there way around a bit better haha.

I've decided I want to try out a Glock 19 as well since it's just a little bigger than the compact XD-m and might fit me better but still be small enough. I shot my friend's Glock and it was nearly dead on accurate, which is rare for me.

I'm certainly not an expert on guns, but I handled one of these and came away very impressed given it's price point. Of course, that's such a personal thing that it doesn't it mean you will like it like I did. Given the price I'd say it's worth checking out.

off topic question... does anyone know if you have to take the headlight lens off to change out the lens of the projector?

HAHA, i think it is the actual lens diameter that is the key, ours is 3". they say that the STi lens doesnt have the ripples on the back side of it like mine does and that by not having it, it increases output and makes the cutoff alot sharper

Yeah, we have what's called a Fresnel lens and the other two aforementioned don't. There are actual benefits to having a Fresnel lens, which was originally developed for lighthouses, IIRC. I read those threads and the reasoning for the swap but I don't know if I ever saw much value (or even difference) in the swap. Regardless, it still doesn't change the fact that STi guys choose to get TSX lenses and I always wondered why Z guys don't do the same. Also, I assume they're all of similar size or they wouldn't do the swap.
Travis, you should just retrofit Q45 headlights into yours.

I think I do at least. Maybe it's the FX-R? They came in my headlights. Cutoff is definitely noticeable.

Maybe I can get Q's guy to do them when I am in Colorado
