Appendectomies suck.... I took some vicodin, and it makes you constipated, and I can't push hard to poop because it hurts my incision.

On a serious note, what happened to you?

 

Just got appendicitis. I think Sunday night my stomach was hurting and I couldn't really sleep, so when it still bothered me the next morning I went to the health center on campus. It wasn't too painful at that time and they didn't seem worried so I just did a blood test. I had a final that night, and nothing Tuesday so I wanted to get through that. Anyway, by about 5, I got the voicemail about my elevated white blood cell count, which was suspicious. Off to the ER where I eventually get a CT scan and they say, yep it appears inflamed. Turned out my appendix was under my intestine, so it didn't hurt as much when they pushed. Went into surgery around 11 pm and woke up I don't know when, but it was early. They had to do the longer incision because of this, so I guess it's a tiny bit worse. But yeah, painwise I think it's worse now than before haha. I suck at swallowing pills so I couldn't take the stool softeners until like 2 am this morning, which helped ease the pain. I've now gotten around 4 hours of sleep for 3 nights in a row. Hopefully I fly home tomorrow evening, and will just finish my papers and finals at home. But yeah, I thought it was kinda funny how it took about 12 hours from the time I said I think I have appendicitis until I got into surgery. I think the hospital lost track of me, because right before they put me under, these women were like oh yeah we've been looking for you for awhile now.

Some sort of weird stitches that dissolve I think, and this clear glue looking substance on top.

 

I had mine out when i was 11...if felt like I was going to shiet my guts out...elvis style.. and it was back in the day so I have a big ol gash on my gut.. AND you got drugs.. lucky...I got my a$$ beat cause of how spensive it was after I got better...lol, I love my mom.. I still get shiet for it today..

well they kinda are.. I believe they are the same size but the rear has some holes when you take the burger off so you may have some little plastic stubs you may have to cut off...not a big deal really..
