[DFW]: DFW's Lounge
WFAA gave it up to let the fire department transport fire fighters and civilians to and from roof tops. It had landed in the street at first, and then they cleared that parking lot so my friend ran over and snapped a pic. It's been a pretty exciting morning, and I think the rains will continue on tonight. Hopefully no more flooding though, I feel really bad for everyone who had to evacuate.
I heard most of the people in that complex are Katrina evacuees!

Yeah, I saw all of that stuff on WFAA. I'm not sure they used the helicopter to actually rescue anyone. They just used it to get the Fire dept. battalion chief or whatever in the air to survey things because they don't have helicopters of their own.
Ooohhh, that makes sense. A lot of what I'm hearing is just "hearsay" lol, could be wrong. Lots of spectators and bystanders.
Q glad to hear your ok but that sucks. I hit the wall on 635 at the coit rd exit on Christmas eve last year cuz I got cut off and hit a patch of sand that was on the road from all the snow and ice. I got lucky. No body damage just a wheel and trailing arm. Let us know how everything turns out.

I got away from Mockingbird and Lemmon just in time. I swear that thing was following me haha. After being down there, I went up to near 635 and the Tollway.
horrible drive
I picked my Z up this morning from courtesy and took the.streets. It was.like a mouse trap with all the flooded intersections. I had.to make 2 uturns to avoid high water saw a maxima stalled on garland rd.1 hr 45 min from Richardson to Rowlett ! GLAD to have her home again
Ya I got stuck on the on ramp to 635 north from 30 west cuz some retard tried to take the turn too fast and hit the guard rail. Jl did you take lbj to 30 or George bush into rowlett?
Damn, I guess I should consider myself lucky with all that flood and tornado (I only skimmed the last few pages but I think I saw that). I actually came back for the Labor day weekend and drove back up here Tuesday through all that rain (guilty of doing more than the speed limit in the rain).
Also, sorry to hear about your Z, Q. Glad that at least you're all right. DFW wouldn't be the same without the resident OCPD member.
Stu, I got away from that weather, too, except the highs are low 70s and the lows are in the 50s. Living in TX the last 10 years has made me soft; I'm the only one wearing a jacket. I'm definitely not looking forward to the next 6 months...

Chris, just wait until it starts snowing...
Santa Clara has similar weather right now, and LA is just a little warmer. It definitely got chilly at school more than I expected, but never cold like you'll see.
