if you guys havent been to the sunday night southlake meet you should go this sunday. the Z turn out should be really nice since the Z party participants are heading out there that night.

It's like buying a car stock or fully loaded & modded to your perfection. The kimber's are already modded to what you would need.
Match grade Barrel, Full length guide rod, Bull nosed, Night sights, Checkering, Ambidexterous safety, etc....

I have been wanting to get out there, but haven't made it yet. I need to go out to see the crowd. I understand it is a good variety.

I'll commit to this Sunday. Just give me a time and alternate place to meet if that's what your wanting. That way we all show up at the same time and we look like bad a$$e$ lol.

Kimbers are fantastic weapons. I'm a huge 1911 fan and have shot multiple kimbers over the last few years. At least five of my friends own them. One guy has two lol. They are a bit pricey for most models but they do make a couple that are very reasonably priced around $800-$900. They are worth every penny and you won't be disappointed. I would recommend taking extra special care of the barrel though because in the kimbers i've seen, the barrel is very prone to corrosion on the outside. Best way to store it is to put it somewhere that is dry and put some silica bead packets in there to help absorb the moisture. That's what I do with my rifles and I've not had any rust issues. My Glocks on the other hand are the most durable and corrosion resistant weapons I've ever owned. My 26 stays locked up in my nightstand but my 21 and now my 17 are my duty weapons. I've walked in the rain, snow and through sprinklers and never had a rusting issue. (wish I could say the same for my handcuffs) I just take them apart, wipe then down and re lubricate them and they are good to go.

If you are gonna spend more than $1k on a Kimber, get yourself an STI. Hands down best damned trigger I've ever had the pleasure of shooting, and made right here in Texas instead of up north where they don't appreciate a good gun.

Or get a Glock that you can throw out of a plane and still shoot. I used to hate Glocks. Then I shot a few, carried a 19 for a bit, and realized why they are so popular. I really need to get my CHL. For anyone looking for some shopping options, there is a fun show...I mean gun show this weekend that I may be hitting up on Sunday after the car show at Fat Daddy's before meeting with the rest of the Z guys in Arlington heading out to the Sunday night meet.

see... that already puts the cost of that vehicle into the area of one that already has all those mods with a clean body... unless you have a spare sr20 sitting around.

 

It was already a Manual to begin with....they said the lines are all there already. They swapped it to an Auto.
