Have the prices gone down any cuz when I looked at Conn's in march they were wanting like $3000 for a 46" 3D tv so I just bought a 55" LED for $2k and I've never really regretted it. I honestly couldn't bring myself to pay that much money for a tv. I can't believe I allowed myself to spend as much as I did honestly.

 

I tried out the 3D tv playing GT5, made me queasy. I had to stop playing.

 

any of you guys ever run out at Motorsport ranch? I've been invited out there a few times but havent had a chance yet. it seems top notch though.

I've been out there a few times. Its a fun track. I like the 3.1 and the 1.7 Clockwise. You should go next time.

 

You can check the apex school schedule and any of the other groups that go there. (Porsche, BMW, Miata, Driver's Edge) The Drivers Edge is the only one so far to post some of their 2011 schedule. They will be there in Feb.

I am wanting to run at a course like this also.....and I here that one is pretty expensive.

there is one in Decatur called " Eagles Canyon " and is a bit cheaper.

Stephen from ImportedPerformance has been out there recently.

I will be on one of those courses soon enough.

Well there are several tracks in Texas you can visit and the cost is different based on who is holding the event. I started with the Driver's Edge. They have the best bang for the buck at $295 per weekend. That is for 2 days of driving, but depending on which track your at the total cost would be a little higher if you include the hotel. There are some groups that run one day events but they usually cost a little more per day. I think GWORD256 and I are probably the track junkies on this forum. He would also be a good guy to get advise from. Anyway you put it, its not a cheap hobby, but I love it. 2011 will be the start of my 3rd year of HPDEs and I hope I can get in 6 to 7 events.

If you want more info, just let me know. I'm always trying to get folks out on the track.

Yes, I know GWORD has run out there a bunch of times.....he has the Brakes for it. I will have my Brembo set up on soon and then I can go out there.

We should get a small group of us to " commit " and reserve a day for us....maybe we can see if they will do it. Anybody have any connections ???

 

Absolutely. I started with stock brakes and tore them up. I ended up getting a set of stoptechs in Feb. Don't forget to put in DOT4 brake fluid too before you hit the track

 

I should probalby be asking this over at LS1tech.com but say someone was going to research a swap using sikky's kit and Hinson's electronics.... who in the DFW area might you trust to do such a thing?

Anyone up for a groupbuy? I was planning on going FI, but the reliability of an LSx platform and ease of bolt on 400+rwhp is tempting me. Ya'll have all been good this year, let's do a groupbuy on the labor and start a gang.... err... something. ;P
