A big thanks to Pat for helping me out with my HFC's & rear sway install...he gave me the motivation to get them on. I hate to do things by myself...so he helped me out by coming over to do it for me. We knocked it out pretty quick for us....I think it was only about 2 hours at the most.
He also showed me a nice .45 ACP he scored ! I like it very much.
Also, I love the new exhaust note from them....just loud enough to make you look and say Ewww....nice !
I set my rear Sway in the middle setting....we'll see if I need to go stiffer ???
Thanks again Pat....your a very cool dude....I wish you the best on your new job adventures. Just remember on thing....in order to have fun & play hard....you have to work hard ! ( which you have been doing ! ) Keep up the hard work my friend....it will pay off in due time.....As I am an Old Grassdhopper Ninja....Old & Wise am I !

Any news on the HFC's Chris? That is one of the mods I want to do this summer, along with the UpRev tune finally.

Running boards will be here this week for the titan. Weather tech floor mats on the way as well. Will be going over all the fluids this week so I can start a maintenance schedule.. This is already getting to be fun!
I am jealous and soon will hit you up for Springs, Belts, fluids and plugs on the G35 6mt sedan. Enjoy the titan and I am glad that it is in good hands. Hope you can find a trailer soon so you can turn your 350z into a trailer queen

I got me some new Rims.....now what to wrap them with ?
I was thinking of something between the Hankook V-12 Evo's with a 280 UTQG rating and the 140 UTQG rating of the R-S3's.....So I have found Some Yokohama Advan Sports with a UTQG of 180. So the question is ???
Do I go ahead and get the Yoko's with a lower UTQG rating ?....or do I just wrap them up in Hankooks V-12's.
I was thinking that I could actually use both sets for AutoX if I got the Yoko's....because my thinking was like if you have 2 sets of shoes...they won't stink up & wear out as fast as only one.....meaning that if you can alternate from one set to another, they will last longer than a single set.
Others were considered...but because of price or size restrictions they were not compatible with my purameters.

Chris, the tire treadwear rating becomes irrelevant when you're comparing different tire brands. They can still be compared for comparison's sake, but one company's rating of 180 isn't the same as another's 180.
Also, if the RPF-1s are going to be autoX only, R-S3s all the way. If these will be used for daily driving with some autoX use, then I'd go with other tires like the PS2s.
Lastly, you're right in that having 2 autoX sets of tires will last twice as long before replacing either one if you alternate each event, but it will cost the same when it comes time to replace them since you'll be replacing 2 sets. Personally, I'd mount your R-S3's on the RPF1s and make them your dedicated autoX set and use the MB wheels as your daily with decent summer tires.

Oh really....the UTQG rating is variable ?
So basically no standards of UTQG between the Tire manufacturer's ?
kinda like getting your car Dyno'd ...no regulations to set a standard !
So why have them ? I was basically shopping from that & price so to compare wear & tread pattern.
So back to square 1 for me !
What about the Bridgestone RE-11's ?

The treadwear rating is going to hold the most weight when it comes to classes in auto-X. Anything below 140 puts you in the R-compound class. Where do you want to be?
I would try the Dunlop Star Specs for a second set, but that's just because I'm so curious to compare the star specs to the RS-3s. Why do you need two sets anyway? You don't really drive it on the street do you?
