I don't think we got any hail here, but I was inside watching a movie so I probably wouldn't have heard it anyway. I have minor hail damage from 3 years ago that I never fixed and I've been waiting for some hail to leave my car outside under. That way, I could get everything fixed and if the damage was bad enough, new paintjob or parts. You think I can get some ice cubes from the freezer and replicate the effect?

I took this pic last night.

Ya dude it was nuts. I was right by your place when it hit. One of the guys I work with was over at Cottonwood Valley and his back window got completely busted out. I was lucky to have covered parking at work ftw lol sounded like a damn warzone under that metal carport though lol

I've always had full coverage on my car, including hail damage repairs, but I just never took it in when it happened because it's only like 2 or 3 minor dents.

As for that noise snare goes... my loud exhaust on my motorcycle has saved me from inattentive drivers before. With that said, my exhaust is street legal and meets noise requirements.

I would imagine all the rednecks with stacks sticking up through the truck bed are a big cause for this.

Anyone heard from Eric (WheelFix) lately? Wondering if he still works at the wheel spot. I texted him, but he may have a new number.

So I hve a decision to make and I would like some input. I can either get Megan racing track series true coilovers for $850 picked up from a local dealer in Dallas on Friday or I can order ksport kontrol pros for $880 shipped and wait a week to get them. The only issue with the ksports is that the vendor only has one set in stock so there is a possibility that they may be out of stock by the time I order on Friday morning. If that happens then I am looking at a three to four week wait for my coilovers. I will be emailing the vendor again tomorrow to make sure they are still in stock then order them as soon as my check hits around 1am Friday morning so there is only a few hour gap for someone to order them out from under me but I am impatient and I will be pissed if I have to wait a month for them. Input please lol

Just because they make a part and use it on the track doesn't mean it's thoroughly tested or even properly R&D'd. Honestly, I would do more research on both KSports and Megans to look at their longevity, quality, strengths/weaknesses, etc. This includes others like D2, BC Racing, Stance, etc.

When I was looking for coilovers, I started looking for them around the $1000 mark but quickly found out that they didn't meet my criteria. You have no idea on what the valving is like, compression and rebound are adjusted together on most 2-ways, no shock dynos, etc. I say save up a bit more and get quality coilovers. You could also get shocks and the springs separately, too.

BTW, if I were to have chosen any set of coils around $1000 mark, it was going to be Fortune Auto's coils. At least they are honest about their products, providing shock dynos on their site and even matching them up for you based on the results before shipping them out.

Lastly, are you also taking into consideration the coilover style, spring types, spring rates, adjustability, ride height range, drivability, serviceability, etc?

That looks real good. I'm not sure about the blue Volk stickers on your Z, but everything else looks good.
