Default advice on a 06 supercharged z

my friend is looking at a 06z super charged. http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/ctd/940614596.html hear is the link and its at a scoobie dealer ship.they originally wanted 31k for it. i told him that is way to much for that car. Sense then they have lowered the price to 26k. I honestly think the car is worth any were from 22 to 24k max. If you guys can give me any input on it, it would be much appreciated.

I don't think they made that color in that year.....but I might be wrong.
I believe that only the '03 or maybe the '04's were in Brickyard.

They might be trying to sell you an older year Z as a newer on. I would CARFAX this one.

Besides that it has a few after market mods. Front bumper, Rims are GT ( grand touring) 18's in front & 19's in the rear. Those only came with the Grand Touring models. which are fully loaded. Leather, Bose, Brembo's, etc....
The ***** in the interior look like '06's tho. Exhaust is aftermarket also.

Oh yea.....and the displays in the dash niche is weird. You have to drive with that door up all the time to see them. It would bug me.

I was in the same situation a few months back…. Would I purchase a Z modded and save myself the money of buying the stuff myself?

Here's my opinion. Be careful buying any modded car. Normally people will push it that much harder, generally. All that aside, the value of the car at the price…. If it's really supercharger I'd consider it but there's not that much done to it to really make my jump on it. My scenario is if it's a Stillen stage 2 blower and a nice soundering exhaust I like I'd do it but only if supercharging was in my plan.

I picked up my 2004 Touring for $18,500 with 10k miles on it, helps to be in Wisconsin and have winter right around the corner price wise. I'd keep looking. Either that or make your offer for $22k and make them wait. The car is pretty buyer specific and the price won't help it move. If you look on the auction blocks, Altima coupe 3.5's and newer 350z's are selling in the teens. Buyers market. You're friend can do better

yea, i'd only go as high as 23k for this...the dealer knows this as well and they will try to pull anything outta their *** to sell it at a high price...IMO throw them you're offer and just wait...if it was meant to be then he will get a call back, and i think 23 is a good price considering with the ticket price of 31k they will have to pay a high tax on it for the end of the year

well here is a update on the car. apparently the person before this was a doctor and spent 60k with the useless mods except the vortech supercharger and a 1.7k tune. This guy had everything documented down to the detail and me my friend saw the whole dvd on it with dyno chart. before we left we saw two pictures in the trunk one with the 350z vq and a picture of a infinite vq, we think the doctor maybe gotten a motor swap. Not to shur on it yet. The color of the car is questionalbe becuase i dont remember a 06 having this color, if someone willing to find this out it would be very helpfull. The dyno chart had a very good steady power band going to 350whp, so i no the tune could of possible of coast 1.7k. Any help from the forum would be great and thanks!
