We should be getting pics soon. Hey Quan, your friend Dave said I could drive his NSX next event--be sure to invite him! LOL I got him 2 seconds off his lap times.

Wow, what can I say about Hallett. For the little time I ran, it was fun. The rest of the time was spent looking at my car and accessing the damage. I had a little run in with a dirt embankment inside of turn three that put my car out of commision. I know at the minimum I had some bent suspension rods in the right rear. It's at the dealership now, so hopefully I will know more soon.

What I can say is a big thank you to the Z Club of Texas members out there (Warren, Krisiti, Chuck, Lisa) and the employees of Hallett Raceway (Scott, Albert) that helped me out. The day could have been much worse, but their help allowed a safe return home.

Thanks again!!!

I think Lisa said that 56 cars participated and that several cars had multiple drivers.
It was great! It took me two hours to drive home and I still had a smile on my face.
Thanks ZCoT for sponsoring this event.
I met a lot of really great people. A special thanks to Chuck and Warren who showed me how to get the most out of the 350 at Hallett.

Kyle (from StrictlyZ) came all the way from California for the event and my350Z.com’s very own Mike Wazowski was on-hand (signing autographs).

I have a bunch of pictures to post. Maybe I can get them up this evening.

I heard that among 5 guys and only one girl... only the girl knew how to load and unload a vehicle off of a trailer.... I bet that was pretty humbling

Sounds like you all had a lot of fun

That one was my brilliant dad's move. I was backing the truck up when he said it was a perfect fit. Grrrrrr.

I'm just glad we learned of the not-so-perfect fit at the time we did.

FYI...one rods replaced already (in stock), other is having to be ordered, tires/wheels going to JR's to be remounted, cleaned and balanced, and then once they get the other rod in they are going to do the alignment (JR's as well). My dealership can't do the alignment or tire/rim stuff, but I believe JR's is the place that Marcus raves about. Estimated completion date is Friday. They said everything else looked fine, but won't know forsure until they do the alignment. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Sounds good, Scott. I'm glad that they can take care of everything so quickly. Hope that tire remount and balance comes out fine as well!

Just remember, yours was VERY minor compared to that M3--pics are up at another site, I'll see if I can link them.

Believe me the crash with the M3 put everything into perspective for me.
