Question Seriously Considering...

Selling my '99 POS Grand Am and buying a bike. Been eyeing a 2009 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883; http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/C...#/model/xl883n

If you really want a harley and you like the sportster, get the 1200. You'll want more power after a week of riding that thing.

If you're not dead set on a harley there are better options out there. You're paying for a name with that one.

I have a friend that bought the sportster and he traded it up within a month....
...Eric is right, you'll definately want more power.

I love the Black powder-coating & the styling of that bike tho.

Check out the Victory's...they are very nice too.

^^^ Chris brings up a great point. Victory bikes are very nice. A buddy of mine has one--actually sold his sportster to get one. Nice bikes.

This is a perception held by most people (even myself before I bought my first bike), but isn't what I believe now. When I was shopping for my first bike I said "I'm going to start with a 600". I actually found a 995cc that I really liked and bought it. I don't regret it at all.

It's all in the rider. If you can control yourself then just get what you're going to want. You don't want to get a couple of months into 4 or 5 years of financing and then want to upgrade.

So go ahead... Get in there and throw the knockout punch.
