My car is almost definitely going to need a new tranny. Like I mentioned in another thread, I can't even get into 5th as of a few nights ago. I grind into 2nd and 3rd, and have to go from 4th straight to 6th. I have tried and tried and it will not go into 5th period. It is weird, the grinding in 2nd and 3rd just got worse and worse, and this 5th gear problem came out of nowhere the other day.

 

I have had mine replaced twice, and look to be headed to a third.

Mine have never gotten to the state your's is in.

Definitely sounds like your's needs to be replaced though.

Dude that blows, hopefully they'll get you a good one when they replace it and you won't have to go through what articfury has been through.

At how many miles did you first start having problems? I just broke 6k and am worried that about now is when things will start going wrong.

 

Roughly around then, although there were some small grinding issues before then perhaps. i am at nearly 11k miles now.

I am about to go post on another section, about how the tranny works. I am beginning to think mine might not be the tranny itself, rather the springs. I need to learn more about how it works though. Either way it is going in tomorrow morning.
