If someone is going to complain, it better be the person himself, not " my friend's car or someone i know". Usually, the fine details are left out and they only know half the story. There are a bunch of great professional shops that can provide you with services you need and I do believe customers should have the right choose which shop they feel comfortable with and go with them. Please understand that the reason mike and I had to come in here and explain and state the facts is because we care about what we do and we care about our customers.
Good nite my 350z peeps!

Hello all! This is Mike from Jotech. Blake's salesperson. Normally I just sit around and lurk but,..... this is about the last straw. Let me be very clear about something. It will not be tolerated for anyone to badger or bash Jotech, Kenny, Tony, myself or any other Jotech Motorsports employee. I've worked for Kenny for almost 11yrs and the thing he cares about most, as do the rest of us, is customer satisfaction.
First of all we got what is pretty much the last in the box Turbonetics turbo kit in the country. Secondly we agreed to come down to internet pricing to match a price for a kit I knew no one else in the country had. Next I was clear and concise that we would do the best we could to get the car done as reasonably quickly as a quality installation would allow.
Not only did we not know the car had headers when it was dropped off but, Blake did not know the car had headers on it. We knew the car had headers the minute all the exhaust came off though. I told Turbonetics that when I spoke to them regarding the flash. They were not long tubes either, they were cheap Taiwanese pieces that know one had ever seen before. We know good headers when we see them. These probably came from ebay. I told Blake that once we found out about the clearance issues. Since we never installed the kit with these cheap-o headers how were we supposed to know the pipe wouldn't fit? So, we also had to put the stock manifolds back on to the car after the kit was basically done. At that point I charged him less than half of what we normally charge to swap them out.
Also, NO shop typically just replaces the clutch line. Unless its bad and that was not evident. It held fine during tuning.
The AC..... It was not possible to have the AC recharged on Saturday evening and we offered to keep the car until we felt it was 100% or to let him enjoy driving it for the weekend and to bring it back. He chose the latter.
So from now on you need to get the story straight and display all the facts before you go talking s&!t about delivery times, high prices, or any else you think you know all about.. But I do not stand for misinformation to this extent about my me, my co workers, or my employer!

Every shop is going to have it's share of good & bad experiences. It's how shops deal with the bad experiences that sets them apart. I have the utmost confidence in the customer service of Tony and the guys @ Jotech.
If you're really worried about a bad job from a shop, do it yourself.

Lol! Scared? You shouldn't be.
There is a difference between telling the whole truth and part of it.
I have no problem with the whole truth if you are going to complain.
Everyone has shops the prefer. Nothing wrong with that. There are tons of shops providing tons of service. Tons of customers. As longs as everybody leaves there chosen establishments with a smile on their face...... That's what should matter.
Give us a call and come by, I promise, you'll think differently.
Ask any of our customers. We always try our best to make sure the customer is satisfied.

It is unfortunate and one of the risk. I assure you the damage that occurred was in no part related to the install. We have already spoken directly to the customer and the situation is being handled respectfully and adequately.
how much extra is it going to cost him?

Not directly related to the install?! Your kidding right. Pretty sure the stock engine was not bound to blow up before the install. And the engine blowing in 4th gear.. seems a bit fishy to me.

Break in time for turbo? Most of members beat it out after tuned. Unless TN kit require needs break in time. But never heard or read any members waittin to finish break-in time.(unless build motor) I drove 14hrs(high way) after first tuned(brand new sc).
I'm also interesting to hear the problem. In my head(I can think of...), there is few things can makes motor failed.
-tune
-install
-parts fail
-motor was bad before install tge kit.
- or like jotech said, maybe not with install/tune.
But TN kit is already failed with vq motor market, I don't understand why owner bought a TN kit and shop let him have that kit. Even owner has no education with vq fi, I think shop should let it explain to customer at first place.
How many milies after tuned? And what ems and injectors? Was it all new?

Stew - lets hear them out..Theres always 2 sides of the story...also I want to know if they are going to fix it considering its ALREADY cost the owner (of the car) over 13K for the install/kit..
at that price I could get another Z altogether..
